Night had settled over the mansion, but it was far from peaceful. The storm outside raged as though it mirrored the tension growing inside Freen's chest. Despite Dr. Ling's visit, the atmosphere still held a strange unease. But Freen and Becky, exhausted from the long day, had drifted off to sleep, their guard down for just a moment.

Suddenly, the quiet was shattered by a loud crash. The front door splintered, the unmistakable sound of boots stomping across the floor sending a shockwave through the mansion. Freen jolted awake, instantly on edge. His eyes met Becky's, wide and innocent, full of confusion rather than fear.

"What's happening?" Becky whispered, clutching Freen's arm as another thud reverberated through the hallway.

"It's him," Freen growled, already knowing the answer. Mike had found them.

Before they could move, Kade and Noey rushed into the room, weapons in hand. "We've got company! Mike's brought more thugs this time," Kade panted, eyes wild with urgency.

Freen pulled Becky to her feet, his grip firm but gentle. "Stay close to me," he whispered, his voice tense. But Becky, with her innocent resolve, gave him a determined nod.

"I won't let them hurt you."

Despite the chaos, Freen couldn't help but glance at her in surprise. Becky's protective spirit, pure as it was, always stunned him. But there wasn't time to dwell on it now. Mike had come to finish what he started.

The gang quickly moved toward the main hall, where Mike and his men had broken in. The air was thick with tension as they entered the room, Freen leading the way. Mike stood there, his menacing grin stretched across his face.

"You think you could hide from me forever, Freen?" Mike taunted, his voice dripping with malice. "I told you, I'm taking everything from you. Your family's business, your life."

Freen's fists clenched. "You won't get away with this, Mike."

Before another word could be exchanged, chaos erupted. Mike's thugs charged forward, and the room exploded into violence. Kade and Noey leapt into action, engaging the attackers with all their might. Freen quickly followed suit, grabbing a weapon from the floor, his body moving despite the pain from his earlier injuries.

In the midst of it all, Becky stayed close to Freen, her innocent eyes scanning the room with worry. She wasn't a fighter, but she was determined to protect Freen in any way she could. She grabbed a nearby chair, holding it as a makeshift shield, her heart pounding.

As Freen fought, Mike closed in, a dangerous glint in his eyes. He swung a pipe at Freen, aiming straight for his head. Freen barely dodged, but the movement left him vulnerable. Mike was about to strike again, and this time Freen couldn't move fast enough.

"Freen, no!" Becky cried out, her instincts taking over. Without thinking, she threw herself in front of him, her body acting as a shield to protect him.

The impact was immediate. Mike's weapon struck Becky, sending her crashing to the ground. Freen's heart stopped. "Becky!" he yelled, rushing to her side as she lay on the floor, dazed and hurt.

Mike sneered, clearly pleased with his handiwork. "Such a waste," he muttered.

But Becky, despite the pain, looked up at Freen, her innocent eyes still filled with concern for him. "I couldn't let him hurt you," she whispered weakly, her hand trembling as she reached for his.

Freen's chest tightened as he knelt beside her, cradling her in his arms. He felt a surge of protectiveness, stronger than anything he'd ever experienced. "You shouldn't have done that, Bec," he whispered, his voice thick with emotion. "I should've protected you."
