As the afternoon sun cast a warm glow through the office windows, Freen slowly stirred, blinking up at Becky with a drowsy smile. Still nestled in her lap, he looked so different from his usual tough, unbreakable self—so soft, relaxed, and trusting. Becky couldn't help but smile back, brushing a stray lock of hair from his forehead.

"Did you have a good nap, Bunny?" she asked, her voice gentle and playful.

"Best nap I've had in... well, forever," Freen murmured, wrapping his arms around her waist to pull her closer. He let out a soft sigh, clearly not wanting to move, but knowing he had to get back to work. "Though, I could get used to this," he added, half-joking as he sat up.

Just as they were settling back into their chairs, the door swung open, and Kade, Nam, and Heng walked in, each of them carrying stacks of documents and grinning from ear to ear.

"We brought the reports, but it looks like we walked in on something," Nam teased, winking at Becky.

Freen rolled his eyes, though he couldn't hide the small smile tugging at the corners of his lips. "Focus on work, would you?" he said, but his tone was light, betraying his usual seriousness.

Heng smirked. "Oh, we are focused. Focused on how you've got your 'Princess' right beside you now," he joked, causing the others to laugh.

Becky blushed deeply, glancing down at her lap, but she couldn't hide the smile that came with Freen's hand resting protectively over hers. She stole a glance at him, her heart racing when she saw him smirking back at her.

"Anyway," Kade said, clearing his throat as he placed the files on Freen's desk, "here's everything you need for the upcoming meeting with the board." But before Freen could reach for the stack, Kade held the documents out of reach, adding, "Though, I gotta say, Bunny, you're gonna owe us for covering for you while you were napping in your princess's lap."

"Is that so?" Freen raised an eyebrow, his voice tinged with playful sarcasm. "Well, maybe I'll just make it up to you by taking a longer break next time."

Nam laughed. "We'd love to see that," she teased, nudging Becky. "You have quite the effect on our boss, Princess."

Blushing again, Becky simply smiled, feeling a warmth that she couldn't quite put into words. She felt so at home with Freen and his friends—like she belonged in this little family they'd formed.

As they all laughed and joked, Becky found herself laughing too, the earlier tension of the day melting away. For the first time since entering Freen's world, she felt like this could really be her place—right by his side, in his arms, surrounded by people who genuinely cared.

After the others left the office, Freen turned to Becky with a mischievous glint in his eye. "Princess, think you could stick around and keep me company for a little longer?"

Becky grinned, placing a hand over his. "Of course, Babe."

Few days later ..........

Freen had been restless for days, trying to figure out how he wanted to ask Becky to be his girlfriend. After all they had been through together, he knew his feelings were real, deep, and unlike anything he'd ever felt before. His friends, ever eager to meddle in his love life, had plenty of ideas to share.

"Take her to a fancy restaurant!" Kade suggested, grinning. "Classic, sophisticated."

Nam shook her head, looking thoughtful. "No, no. Freen, you need to make it meaningful. She's more the type to love sincerity over glamour."

Heng nodded, jumping in with his own enthusiasm. "Why don't you do it somewhere special, like the beach at sunset?"

As Freen considered the suggestions, he knew Heng was onto something. The beach had been their place of comfort before, a place where they could escape the noise and just enjoy each other's company. The idea felt perfect—relaxed, intimate, and peaceful.

With a plan in mind, Freen invited Becky to a "surprise outing" and drove her to the beach. The sun was beginning to dip below the horizon, casting warm hues across the sky, and the gentle sound of waves was like a calming backdrop to what he hoped would be a perfect evening.

Becky looked out at the view, her eyes shining as she took in the beautiful scene. "This is incredible, Bunny," she said, her voice soft.

Freen led her to a cozy spot on the sand, where he had set up a small picnic with their favorite snacks and a couple of warm blankets. They sat down together, sharing bites of food, laughter, and stories until the sky began to darken into deep purples and blues.

Taking a deep breath, Freen reached out, gently brushing a strand of hair behind Becky's ear. "Becky... there's something I've been wanting to tell you," he said, his voice carrying a rare gentleness.

Becky looked up at him, her innocent eyes searching his face. "What is it, Freen?"

He took her hands, feeling his heart beat a little faster as he spoke. "You've brought so much light into my life, Becbec. I didn't know I could feel this way about anyone... so safe, so... complete."

Becky's eyes softened as she listened, her cheeks flushing a soft pink. "Freen..."

He smiled, a bit nervously, but kept his gaze steady on her. "I want you by my side, not just as my friend, but as... my girlfriend. I want to be the one you lean on, the one who protects you, who shares every part of life with you."

Becky's eyes grew misty, and she laughed softly, her voice full of warmth and joy. "You don't know how long I've wanted to hear you say that." She leaned forward, wrapping her arms around his neck and resting her forehead against his. "Yes, Bunny. I'd love to be your girlfriend."

A look of pure relief and happiness crossed Freen's face as he held her close, his arms wrapping tightly around her. "You've made me the happiest man alive, Princess."

As Freen leaned in, his eyes softened, and he gently pressed his lips to Becky's. The kiss was warm, tender, filled with all the feelings he'd kept guarded for so long. Becky felt her heart racing as she melted into the moment, holding onto Freen as if he were the most precious thing in the world. It was a perfect, quiet moment—until the stillness was suddenly shattered by the loud sound of cheering.

Freen and Becky broke apart, startled, and turned to see their friends bursting from behind a set of rocks and trees nearby, clapping and hollering. Nam, Heng, Noey, Kade, and even Dr. Ling had been hiding in anticipation, waiting for this exact moment.

"Finally!" Kade called out, grinning widely. "Took you two long enough!"

Heng was beaming as well, clapping alongside Nam, who laughed, nudging her. "See, I told you he'd pull it off. And it couldn't have been sweeter!"

Noey ran up, throwing an arm around Freen. "About time you made it official, Bunny,"

They stayed that way, the world fading into the background, just the two of them under the soft, starlit sky. And as the waves lapped softly against the shore, Freen placed a tender kiss on her forehead, sealing the moment they would both remember forever.
