"Excuse me, miss? Is this seat taken?"

"Why yes actually i- wait, Fili?" I said getting up out of my seat to hug the golden haired man. "I didn't think this was your kind of scene." I laughed.

"Well, gotta meet girls somehow." He laughed with me. "That's why I was coming over here, I thought you were honestly a random girl I was gonna attempt to flirt with." He snickered.

I frowned. "I'm sorry."

He brushed it off. "It's okay. You said this seat was taken, might I ask by whom?"

"Well if it isn't Fili Durin! Whatcha doing here bud?" Bard had called out from behind Fili.

"Oh, I'm just talking to her don't worry man." I watched Fili back off defensively.

"Fili, it's okay! I know you guys are best friends. I trust you." He smiles and hands my bottle over to me.

I thanked him.

"So a karaoke bar, fun right?" Bard said sitting down. "Join us Fili!" He said pulling up a chair for the golden man.

"Are you sure? I don't want to intrude!"

Bard insisted that Fili join us, so he sat.

The three of us talked for a while, laughing so hard that my drink spilt out of my nose. We listened to a few more people do karaoke, some of which were pretty good.

"Hey, you know who's really amazing at this whole singing thing?" Fili asked out loud, voice echoing. He pointed to me.

"Fi, I...um. No. Don't you dare." I snickered.

"You never told me you could sing!" Bard exclaimed.

"To be fair you never asked." I replied.

"Get up there! Go sing us a little tune!" Fili pushed me up on the stage. "Hey DJ, this girl is killer! Put her on the mic!" Fili yelled pushing me.

I stumbled onto the stage and looked out into the crowd, lots of drunken eyes stared back at me. I surveyed the crowd, locking eyes with the one man I never suspected I would lock eyes with that night. Him.

"What do you want to sing?" The dj asked me showing me the song book.

I scanned the list, observing every option until I found the perfect one. "That one." I pointed.
