You shiver and chatter as you put a jacket on and socks when Ava walks in only to quickly put her jacket back on after taking it off and fixing to hang it up before finding you on the couch wrapped in a blanket still lightly shivering as she joins you on the couch. "God it's freezing why haven't you turned the heat on?" you looked at ava telling her that your heat had been broken and was supposed to be fixed yesterday but the maintenance man ended up getting behind and couldn't come fix it leading to the house getting very cold over the next two days when it first broke which made the heat only flow through some of the house before it just quit entirely, ava noticed the old fireplace in the house that you only used a few times during the winter leading to the two of you putting old paper along with branches and twigs from outside before slowly lighting a match and throwing it in the fireplace before the two of you were snuggled together beside the fire without socks or a jacket feeling the cool breeze and the warmth of the fire evenly as the two of you watched TV while laying on a spare mattress on the floor enjoying cups of hot chocolate and bites of croissants. The two of you took turns keeping the fire running over the next two hours before having dinner while watching Casper until both of you fell asleep snuggled together by the fire as it slowly burned and then went in the early morning hours but the warmth never left between the two of you molded together under a cover with the cool breeze only cooling some of the heat down as the two of you slept soundly throughout the night until the morning sunlight streamed through the window.
