I know love at first sight is real, not that I've experienced it, but I had been the product of two people that had.
*Flashback*
"Dad?" I asked looking at my father's eyes through the rear view mirror. "Yeah, sport?" He said turning on his blinker.
"How did you know you loved mama?" I asked my dad froze for a moment ignoring the light that had turned green. "When I saw her it felt like I couldn't breathe, I stared at her in shock. The most beautiful girl I'd ever seen stood in front of me, I asked her out." His grip on the steering wheel tightened as looked at the road.
"After that date, I called my sister. I told her I had just met my wife. I didn't need that date to prove it, I just felt it. Everything in the world was perfect when I was with her." His eyes looked glossy, I missed my mama. I think he missed her more.
*End of flashback*
Milo has always been to hard on himself. He thought girls didn't talk to him because he wasn't good looking. Girls didn't talk to him because had never even bat an eye at one, it was like he subconsciously avoided females. The guys thought he might've been gay.
Until he met her. He hadn't even been conscious when it happened, but when I told him I saw his dull eyes brighten. He was in love with a girl he hadn't even met.
I had met her though, I think she fell in love too. I had never met a person that had cared so much about a stranger. She came in his room to check on him, multiple times. I left the door open for her, after the first time I knew she'd be back. I had also been the one to close it, she needed to open it.
I knew they were in love, they had both fallen now they needed to heal.
