"Donovan! How are you?" I spoke into the phone, "I'm lovely now that I'm talking to you honey. What can I do for you?" He asked I smiled at his remark. "Well I need a privet flight to Wisconsin on Friday, it's just me and a friend, oh and my puppy! I promise I'll compensate you for the short notice." I said in an attempt to make it rewarding for him.
"I see, how's Fargo to Milwaukee? It's about two hours, let's say four o'clock on the Cessna Citation." He offered, "That's perfect! thank you!" I said relieved. "Anytime honey, when did you wanna come back?" I thought for a few moments, "Let's do Saturday morning with a couple extra friends." I said, "Alright honey, I'll see you tomorrow!" He said, "Thank you! Have a good day, be safe!" I said before hanging up.
I've know Donovan forever, he used to work for my parents. He quit around the time my sister died, my parents had cut off a lot of staff taking out their anger on everyone else. He then started his own private charter company, it became very successful.
"Kiki!" I hollered from my room. "Yes?" She said her head poking out from the door. "Pack your bags we've got a flight tomorrow, we need to leave the house around two thirty!" I said watching her face light up in excitement, "How did you find a flight?! I've been looking for the last hour and they were all booked!" She exclaimed, "I called a friend." I explained simply, she ran off and I went into my closet to dig out my suit case.
I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss Milo. I hated admitting it though, it made me feel so— dependent. And I hated it, so I booked a flight to go watch his game. I thought me and Kiara would have fun and I didn't want to ditch Koda, so it's a win-win situation. I booked an Airbnb, Koda was now house trained so I think he will be fine. The airport was about an hour away from us so I wanted to give us plenty of time.
Milo had texted me this morning telling me he left, he should almost be there. They are stopping somewhere in Minnesota for the night.
I went down stairs and decided to make pancakes for dinner, because why not? The rest of the girls trickled into the kitchen eating pancakes as they were finished. I informed them all about me and Kiara's trip we are leaving for tomorrow, I didn't invite them because I knew they were all busy. Me and Kiara had to rearrange our shifts at the hospital to make it work, but we did.
The night came to a close with watching a movie and eating an absurd amount of popcorn.

The next morning I got to work packing bags for me and Koda, although I was currently at a crossroads trying to decide on how many pairs of underwear to bring. I decided on three pairs, cute ones too, just in case.
For Koda I packed his leash and harness for walks, and his new coat I got him. Oh and plenty of treats. One of my favorite things about flying private is I can pack however much I want, specially liquids.
"Alv, I don't have travel size toothpaste do have any extra?!" She exclaimed, "We're flying private, you do t it to be travel size." I said with a small laugh, "ohh" she said leaving the room.
I hauled my suitcases out to the car and Kiara brought her out too, we made sure we had everything before leaving with Koda in the backseat napping. We stopped to grab some lunch before heading to the airport.
"Have you ever flown before?" I asked her she seemed pretty on edge. "Only once when I was younger." She said looking out the window. "Are you excited to see Sawyer?" I asked changing the topic noting her discomfort.
