KIARA
Alvara never let anyone cook with her. She would make up little excuses, but I knew there was something more to it. I also knew she has been to hell and back.
I was studying to become a pediatric nurse. Something I learned after my first shift for my internship had been the fact that everyone's inner child makes an appearance around the right people, I had also learned that their inner child revealed their deepest truths.
I knew Alvara considered Delaney to be her best friend. They'd known each other the longest, but in someways I think I know her better.
I watched as she practically floated around the kitchen, she was in her own world. Like a princess, when she was cooking her inner child loved to make an appearance. He was cooking with her, she was so at ease. Most would consider her to be uptight, but around her prince she was simply carefree, and what a beautiful thing it is to see.
It's hard to make friends when your brother is the captain of the hockey team, all of puck bunnies befriend you in hopes of talking with him. But with my girls our friendship was effortless in a way, they couldn't care less about my brother and even less about hockey.
I have known Milo for a long time him and my brother have been friends since high school, he's a good person. Grumpy as hell but a good person nonetheless, she was also a good person exceptional even.
Unfortunately, almost all good people have been through bad things. Bad people have also been through bad things. The difference is the good people choose to heal, to rise above, and let their pain cultivate empathy, not bitterness. They take their scars and turn them into bridges, not walls, finding strength in vulnerability and purpose in kindness.
I am happy for them, they deserve each other.

I love Kiara! My poor baby has been through it and is very receptive to how others feel! It's okay though I already have some exciting plans for her!!
