Mission Debrief

(Deku POV)

'If I had a nickel for every time I took a plane to a mobile water fortress I'd have two nickels which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice.' I thought as the jet landed on the aircraft carrier. 'Is that a reference or something kid.' second asked in a gruff voice almost as if teasing me. I just rolled my eyes and got out of my seat while stretching, and grabbed my bag. 

When I exit the jet with Coulson and Captain Rogers I see Miss Romanoff walk up to us. "Agent Romanoff, Captain Rogers, and you already know Midoriya." Coulson says with a small smile on his face. 'Coulson kinda reminds me of me fanboying over All Might.' I thought while Captain Rogers greeted Miss Romanoff. "They need you on the bridge, they're starting the face-trace." Miss Romanoff Says to Coulson he loses his small smile and starts to walk away. "See you there." he calls as he leaves. "How are you doing Izuku? Still fighting for the sake of others' smiles?" Miss Romanoff asks me, still looking mildly concerned. "Yes Miss... I mean yes agent Romanoff." I say with jumbled words. "Just call me Nat kid, no Miss or Agent just Nat." She said to me, I just nodded my head, she then looked towards Captain Rogers. "It was quite the buzz here, finding you in the ice. I thought Coulson was gonna swoon." She says as we all walk towards the edge of the ship. "Did he ask you to sign his Captain America trading cards yet?" That alone is something that made me pause. 'I guess being the first superhero means you get trading cards, maybe they were like All Might's and other heroes from home.' The information about having his own trading cards was surprising to Captain Rogers as well considering he questioned them. "They're vintage, he's very proud."

 I notice that we are walking towards a man who seems to be on edge and is avoiding every single shield personnel. "Doctor Banner." Captain Rogers says to the man. 'He turns into a giant behemoth of a man and is actually a small skinny looking man normally, talk about deja vu.'I thought to myself as Captain Rogers spoke to Dr. Banner about finding the cube. "Must be strange for you, all of this." Dr. Banner said to the captain. Captain Rogers looks around and says. "This is actually kind of familiar." Dr. Banner then looks to me and then Natasha. "Is he another spy?" He asks teasingly, Natasha goes to answer but I beat her to it. "Um.. no my name is Midoriya Izuku, i'm a hero in New York that director Fury wanted to be a part of this mission." I say while bowing in greeting. He still looks skeptical but returns the bow. "So you're some kind of super soldier too?" He questions while looking back to Captain Rogers. "No, my powers are a long story that I'd prefer we don't discuss just yet." I say while scratching my neck. Captain Rogers nods to me in understanding and Dr. Banner looks more skeptical.

 "Gentlemen, you might want to step inside in a minute. It's gonna get a little hard to breathe." Natasha says to keep things moving forward. "Flight crew secure the deck" an announcement over the PA says. I start to feel the ship moving as Captain Rogers asks if this is a Submarine. "Really Fury wants me in a submerged, pressurized, metal container?" Dr. Banner says as he, Captain Rogers and I walk to the edge of the vessel. When we get to the edge we look down and see a giant turbine speeding up and in only a few short moments the carrier is hovering above the water. Feeling even more curious and excited I fly up to get a better look at the ship and am left in awe at this piece of technology. 'I wonder if I-island could have made something like this.' I thought with star struck eyes and a smile on my face. "IZUKU COME INSIDE NOW. WE ARE LEAVING." I barely hear Natasha as she yells at me, but I comply and land and walk with the three adults into the ship. "So you can fly?" Dr. Banner asks me with a bit of hidden awe in his voice. "He can do a lot more from what I've read in the paper." Captain Rogers answers in my stead as I am still starstruck and writing down things in my journal.

 As we were walking we entered a room I can only assume is the bridge. Where director Fury is holding onto two holographic panels. We all separate a bit with Dr. Banner walking behind a table still looking jumpy, and Captain Rogers marveling at the ship itself, I'm doing the same. "We're at level sir." A woman says to Fury. "Good. Let's Vanish." Fury responds and the woman tells the personnel to engage retro-reflection panels. I'm not sure what it means but it probably makes us invisible to anyone below us. As I was writing this down, I noticed Captain Rogers walking up to Fury and pulling out some money, he then hands the money to Fury, I only raise my eyebrow at the action and then get back to writing. "Gentlemen." Fury says to us while putting the money in his pocket. He walks up to Dr. Banner first. "Doctor, thank you for coming." Fury says while reaching out his hand. Dr. Banner Nervously shakes his hand. "Thanks for asking nicely. So uh how long am I staying?" 

As they are discussing the tesseract I still can't help but feel amazed by what I'm currently riding in. I also notice Natasha walk up behind a shield personnel and look at a man on the screen. After a moment Fury asks Natasha to lead Dr. Banner to a lab. She walks out the room saying something about toys. "Midoriya thanks for coming." Fury says as he walks to me. "You sounded like you needed help, and that's what I'm here to do." I say with a small bow. "Do you know your limits Midoriya, because we are going up against a threat not from this world." I proceed to tell him of my feats in previous battles. Including the ones I lost just to give him a basis. "Good, then you'll be with Rogers and Romanoff when we find this Loki." He says with a nod. "For the time being sit back and wait for orders or train either or." As He says that he walks away and goes over to Captain Rogers I decided to go train in the hanger bay that I saw walking here. 'Listen Brat I agreed to let you use my quirk in this new world but remember since it's been held inside of One For All for so long it going to have a boost in power so it's a last resort, don't use it as a win all.' The Second said firmly I nod in acknowledgement. 'But I will need to train with it, or I'll never know how to use it.' I think in protest. I just hear a harrumph in my head.
