Catching A God

(Deku POV)

*pant pant pant* 'Alright we'll cut the training there brat, you were only using gear one and you're already exhausted.' Second said, looking down at me with a straight face. 'Yeah I think I'm done for now.' I thought while closing my eyes for a second and catching my breath. While my eyes were closed I heard two sets of footsteps approaching me. "You know when I told you that you were a remarkable person I didn't think I'd see you casually break the sound barrier in the hangar bay." Fury said. I opened my eyes to see him and Captain Rogers looking over me both equally impressed. "I don't think casually is the way I'd put it Sir." Captain Rogers said with a smile.

 I smile back before getting to my feet with a bit of sway. "Sorry for not asking if I could train here, Sir." I said with a small bow. He waved off my concern. "It's fine kid, but I do got to ask how you managed to move that fast. I could only see blips of you here and there, other than that just green lightning moving in a circle." Captain Rogers also looked curious and interested in knowing. "Well I told you that I can communicate with the previous holders of my power right? They let me use their abilities. The one you just saw me use was the gear shift at the lowest setting." as I said that Fury looked even more impressed and Captain Rogers looked confused. "What do you mean previous holders?"

 I looked towards him then Fury who nodded at me to elaborate. "My power/s were passed down through generations of heroes in my world. I am currently the ninth holder of this power." Captain Rogers still looked confused so I told him that I am from a parallel earth where 80% of the population had super powers called quirks. I told him how I was originally quirkless but my mentor chose me as his successor and next holder of the quirk. I then explained how I got to this world and how I wanted to help while finding a way to get back home. 

"That's a lot to take in son. No wonder you said it was a long story." Captain Rogers said looking shellshocked. "How many of these previous holders' abilities can you utilize Midoriya?" Fury asked. "I can use six of their quirks for combat, those being Gear shift, Fa jin, Danger sense, Black whip, Smokescreen and Float. The last one is non-combative, and my mentor did not have a quirk either." Fury nodded in understanding while Captain Rogers finally seemed to have processed it all. Fury turned to the side and listened to his ear piece. Then he looked at Captain Rogers and I. "Well clean up and suit up. We found Loki." Fury ordered. "Where is he at?" Captain Rogers questioned. "Stuttgart Germany, now move!" 

After that was said and done Captain Rogers left the hangar to get changed as did I. After putting my costume on I realized I really did need to get it fixed. "It has a lot more battle damage than I thought." I said aloud. 'Just get a new one at this point Ninth.' En said to me. 'I will think about it.'

(3rd Person POV)

After a moment Midoriya and Steve regroup in the hangar, both are dressed in their uniforms. "Nice suit kid." Steve said with a nod. "Yours is really cool too, Captain." Midoriya then looked at the shield on Steve's left arm. "Aright boys if you're both done complimenting each other let's get a move on." Natasha says as she and a pilot enter a jet. Both of the supers follow inside as the rear entrance closes. "Alright we need to get there fast so strap in so we can leave." Natasha calls them from the co-pilot seat. "What is he doing in Germany anyway?" Steve asks while strapping in. The jet launches and is quickly accelerating. "We have no idea all we know is that he's heading to a ball or something." Natasha replies back while putting something on the computer in the back with Steve and Midoriya. "In the intel report it was said he brainwashed a Doctor, maybe Loki is causing a distraction while the people working for him are getting something. Director Fury said Loki wants to start a war, that must mean he has an army, perhaps the tesseract will bring them here." Midoriya said before starting rambling incoherently. "That's a pretty good theory son but let's focus on the now. ETA to intercept?" Steve asked the pilot. "ETA 15 minutes and counting." "Ok we need a plan of attack, so this is how we're gonna do this, I will engage Loki and try to capture him, Izuku I want you to be moving any and all civilians out of the way of fire. Keep them away from the fight as much as possible. Natasha, you and the pilot stay here and give us cover fire. Izuku If there aren't many civilians and you see an opening speed blitz, Loki we need to get the scepter out of his hands and cuff him." Steve explains with everyone agreeing on the plan.

After a moment of waiting, the team is told that Loki has killed a scientist in front of a crowd of people, and rush to get to Loki's position

"Alright I have eyes on.... A lot of him, you two better get down there now." Natasha says to Steve and Midoriya. The rear entrance opens and Midoriya grabs a hold of Steve and they fly down to the crowd of people kneeling before five Lokis, and before Loki can kill an elderly man Midoriya drops Steve in front to stop and redirect the blast which knocks Loki to the floor. "Ah The soldier, the man out of time, and.... you, I don't know who you are." Loki sounded surprised as he looked to the gem of his scepter, before Steve engaged him with his shield. Acting according to the plan Midoriya focuses on making sure every civilian is moved out of the area. Loki knocks Steve to the floor and is about to impale him with his scepter, before he can though Midoriya uses air force to knock Loki off his feet. Both men get up quickly and Midoriya sees an opening and grabs the scepter from Loki's hand with black whip. Simultaneously music starts being played from the jet, and right as the scepter is taken a man in red and gold armor arrives and knocks Loki to the floor. "Make your move reindeer games." Tony says while showing multiple weapons. Loki's form changes and his horned helmet disappears along with other parts of his armor. "Good move." Tony says. "Mr. Stark." Both supers greet at the same time. "Captain, Deku" Tony said in acknowledgement. The team then cuffed Loki while confiscating the scepter and then loaded up on the jet.
