Winifred's POV

I didn't understand what it was that made Saphira do what she did.

But, in the end it didn't even matter anymore.
The thruth was, he was gone. And, he won't be coming back.

The sky, as if feeling our sorrow, started crying with us. I ignored the sting of the ice cold droplets soaking me to the bone, as all Silver and I could do was watch as Saphira curse the woman that took our brother from us.

My hands trembled as I press harder into the wound that wouldn't stop bleeding. I don't know if I'm trembling from the cold, the blood, or the horror of what Saphira just did. "Silver, we should have stopped her..." My voice was barely above a whisper. I was sure the rain, the screaming, and the wind carried my voice away. But, she heard me.

"It's too late...besides, what could we have done?" Silver, our level-headed and calm sister, looks like she was close to having a panic attack. I move my eyes away from the scene in front of me, to look down at the still body beneath me. I hiccuped as new tears streamed down my face, tremors shaking my body uncontrollably. "T-This is...so u-unfair..." I felt Silver put a hand on my shoulder. "I know..."

Saphira's POV

I couldn't stop myself. This kind of anger was new to me. I acted before realizing what I was doing.

"G-Get off...me"

I could hardly hear her. I can see her bloody lips moving, but no words reached my ears. I couldn't even make out the image of her. My vision was blurry.

"Y-You...monster!"

Her words didn't even register in my mind, her screeching only hurts my ears. But, I could feel her. My fingers twitch and grip tighter. Her throat, yes that was what it was. I was squeezing her throat. I blink my eyes rapidly, trying to clear the blurriness from my vision. Red... It was the first color that I could make out in my blurry vision.

"Uh!"

She tried to move, but when I felt her shift, I automatically squeezed harder. 'What was I doing again?'  My body felt heavy, I realized. My arms were trembling. No, my entire body was trembling. My lunges were also hurting. Every breath made a rattling sound. Wheezing breathes with every exhale. 'Was I having a panic attack?' My thoughts were interrupted when the body beneath me shifted again.

I blinked my eyes again, trying to get a clearer view of who I was on top of. I soon realize that the red I was seeing was actually blood all this time. The face of the woman beneath me, familiar, yet I can't remember who she was. All I knew was that I felt a burning hatred for this woman. So, I didn't let up with my grip around her throat.

My heart was racing painfully against my ribs. If I didn't calm down, it felt like my beating heart will break a rib. 'Why am i choking her?' The better question is, why am I not letting go? It felt like my knuckles were locked in, unable to move, as they are stuck in their position. My mind was fighting with me, to try and figure out what was going on.

I lift my eyes from the woman's burned face and up to my surroundings. I was still having trouble focusing my vision. I wanted to rub at my eyes, but my fingers won't let go of this woman's neck.

"Saphira!"

I snapped my head towards the voice I heard. I squint my eyes to try and focus my vision, but with no luck. I frustratingly shake my head.

"Saphira!"

I squeeze my eyes shut tightly before opening them again. It made my vision a bit more focused. My surroundigs, a land covered in snow. A scorching mansion behind me. And, two figures in the distance. No, wait, there was three figures. One of them was laying down on the ground.
