Yeosang got up off the floor, padding to Seonghwa's bed and slipped under the covers. He tucked his head under Seonghwa's chin, taking in his scent as the older instictively wrapped his arm around Yeosang's waist, pressing a kiss on his head.

Yeosang snuggled closer, feeling the chills that ran down his spine as Seonghwa's soft lips brushed against his hair. The warmth of the blanket enveloped them, creating a small sanctuary away from the coldness of the world outside. He could hear Seonghwa’s steady heartbeat, a calming rhythm that soothed the worries swirling in his mind.

“Why did you end up on the floor?” Seonghwa asked, his voice a gentle rumble that vibrated through Yeosang’s body.

Yeosang huffed, burying his face deeper into Seonghwa’s shoulder. “I just… couldn’t sleep. Thought I’d try my luck on the floor, but it wasn’t cozy at all.”

Seonghwa chuckled softly, the sound warm and inviting. “You know you’re always welcome in my bed. You don’t need to try and tough it out like that.”

“I guess I just wanted to give you some space,” Yeosang confessed, feeling a bit shy. “You were having a rough day, and I didn’t want to disturb you.”

Seonghwa pulled Yeosang impossibly closer, his grip tightening slightly. “You could never disturb me. You’re the best part of my day, no matter how rough it gets.”

Feeling his cheeks flush, Yeosang smiled against Seonghwa’s collarbone. The sincerity in Seonghwa’s voice always had a way of making his heart flutter. “You really mean that?”

“Of course I do.” Seonghwa pressed another kiss to Yeosang’s temple, his breath warm against the shell of his ear. “Now let’s get some sleep. We can face the world together when the morning comes.”

With Seonghwa's comforting presence by his side and the weight of their shared connection wrapping around them like a warm blanket, Yeosang finally felt the tension of the day melting away. The last thing he remembered before drifting off was Seonghwa's steady breathing and the safety he felt being so close to him.

...

"I love you,” Yeosang murmured, barely above a whisper, as he nestled deeper into Seonghwa's embrace. The words slipped out so naturally, filled with a sincerity that resonated in the stillness of the room.

Seonghwa paused, his breath catching for a moment. The silence that followed felt thick with meaning. And then, he slowly lifted Yeosang’s chin, their eyes meeting under the gentle glow of a bedside lamp.

“I love you too, Yeosang,” Seonghwa replied, his voice steady and warm, wrapping around Yeosang’s heart like a comforting blanket. “More than you know.”

A smile spread across Yeosang’s face, his heart swelling at Seonghwa’s words. It was a reassurance he had often needed but hadn’t always voiced himself. The acknowledgment of their feelings filled the space between them with a warmth that extended beyond the physical.

In a moment of spontaneity, Yeosang pressed a soft kiss to Seonghwa's lips, a sweet and tender connection that spoke volumes of their affection. Seonghwa responded immediately, deepening the kiss as his hand cradled the back of Yeosang's head, leaning into him as if trying to convey all the emotions he felt in that instant.

When they finally broke apart, both breathing slightly heavier, Yeosang chuckled, feeling giddy and light. “See? This is definitely better than sleeping on the floor.”

Seonghwa laughed, a beautiful sound that echoed in the quiet room. “Way better. Now, let’s get some rest, my love.” He wrapped his arms around Yeosang again, and they settled comfortably into each other.

With contentment flooding his heart, Yeosang closed his eyes, feeling safe, loved, and completely at peace. The world outside faded away, leaving only the sound of their synchronized breathing and the warmth of their shared love to guide them into a blissful sleep.
