Ding Qiyu and Lu Weixi carefully explored the sixth floor, a level in Yun Zhi Pavilion filled with esoteric books on the arts, making it a haven for those seeking niche knowledge. The sparsely populated floor was home to only a handful of visitors. As they searched, Ding Qiyu's eyes lit up, and she waved Lu Weixi over, whispering, "Weixi, over here!"

Lu Weixi hurried over and picked up a qin score from the spot Ding Qiyu indicated, flipping through it with evident delight. Her eyes sparkled with joy, signaling to Ding Qiyu that she had found something she liked. Ding Qiyu, pleased to see her happiness, stood by her side, allowing her to select the scores she wanted most. She then kindly offered to carry the chosen books and took care of the borrowing formalities before accompanying Lu Weixi back to her courtyard, engaging in light-hearted conversation along the way.

Parting from Weixi, Ding Qiyu returned home in high spirits, curious about Lu Weiming's whereabouts. He hadn't joined them for dinner, likely spending time with Miss Qu. Upon reaching the study, she noticed the door was ajar, with lights on inside. Knocking lightly on the doorframe without receiving a response, she peeked in to find Lu Weiming sprawled on the study's soft couch, eyes glazed over as he stared at the ceiling.

Approaching him, Ding Qiyu waved a hand in front of his face. Startled, Lu Weiming jolted upright, only to grimace and slump back with a groan, "Ouch—so sore—"

Ding Qiyu quickly supported his shoulder, asking, "Brother Weiming, are you injured?"

After a few heavy breaths, Lu Weiming shook his head, "No, it's just that my whole body feels like it's falling apart. Everything hurts..."

"Pfft—Brother Weiming, you just need more exercise. After a few sessions, you'll be fine. Once you're fit, Miss Qu won't underestimate you anymore!" Ding Qiyu teased, relieved he wasn't seriously hurt.

Caught by Ding Qiyu's teasing gaze, Lu Weiming's face turned crimson, "Brother Yu, you know?"

"Your feelings are written all over your face. How could I not see it?" Ding Qiyu laughed, taking a seat nearby.

"Sigh... But she likes strong, heroic types, like my elder brother. I..." Lu Weiming's eyes reflected his despondency and worry.

"Brother Weiming, don't underestimate yourself. You're working hard towards the person she admires. I believe as long as you're sincere and persistent, regardless of the outcome, you'll be her hero in her eyes," Ding Qiyu encouraged. Having a motivation to drive him forward was beneficial, regardless of whether he and Miss Qu ended up together.

Lu Weiming closed his eyes, contemplating for a moment, then nodded, "Yes, I should strive harder. If someone as outstanding as Brother Yu is working hard for Weixi, what excuse do I have to not give it my all?"

After a brief chat, Ding Qiyu returned to her room. Interacting with Weixi was the best remedy for her spirit, washing away any frustration from the morning's history class. Now invigorated, Ding Qiyu efficiently calculated all the initial parameters needed for her "new equipment," ready to create a prototype for practical testing.

The next day's class was on the Law of Heaven, akin to physics, discussing the principles governing the natural world. Physics had been Ding Qiyu's forte, and she was keenly interested in the subject. Having skimmed the course materials beforehand, she was pleasantly surprised by the breadth of topics covered, ranging from cosmology, mechanics, acoustics, optics, and even magnetism. Except for the cosmology section, which didn't align with natural laws, the rest was fundamentally accurate.

The instructor for the Law of Heaven was a short, elderly man named Mr. Zhou. Despite his age, his energy and enthusiasm were palpable, contrasting sharply with the stern demeanor of Mr. Chen, the number theory teacher. Mr. Zhou's passion for his subject was evident, as he taught standing close to the students, his booming voice filled with fervor, delivering the lecture in a clear, organized manner.
