In one of the bamboo houses built on a cliff on Mount Danming, one of the seventy-two mountains of Jiangnan, three young women in crimson outfits gathered around a bed. A middle-aged woman sat at the bedside, diagnosing the person lying there.
"Why hasn't she woken up yet?" asked the youngest girl, her face scrunched in displeasure.
"It's your fault! The senior sister told you to bring someone back, not someone unconscious, and now we have to treat her injuries!" complained the girl next to her. These two young women looked almost identical at first glance.
"I—" The youngest girl huffed, unable to refute, and muttered defensively, "It was the best timing back then. If you're so good, why didn't you go?"
"The senior sister sent you, not me. If it were me, I'd have brought someone lively back by now."
"Enough, stop arguing. You're disturbing Aunt Lin," said the eldest of the three, her calm demeanor silencing the quarreling twins.
The person lying motionless on the bamboo bed was Ding Qiyu, who had been missing for several days and was deeply missed by Fu Ruqing.
The healer, known as Aunt Lin, withdrew her hand from Ding Qiyu’s pulse and addressed the three women. "This person…" She hesitated, finding it odd to call the person 'girl,' and continued, "The poison in her body has mostly cleared. She should wake in the next couple of days." In her decades of practice, Aunt Lin had never encountered someone with such a peculiar physique, whose blood seemed capable of neutralizing toxins on its own.
"Finally, she's going to wake up..." the youngest girl sighed in relief. Once awake, her mission from the senior sister would be complete. Curiosity piqued, she asked, "Is she really a girl?"
"Has Aunt Lin ever been wrong?" the other girl interjected.
"I wasn't asking you!" the youngest retorted.
Aunt Lin stood, smiling affectionately at the bickering sisters. "Yes, she is indeed a girl, but not quite like other girls."
The youngest was about to respond when the disciples at the door announced in unison, "The Young Palace Master!"
A moment later, a young woman in a fiery red outfit entered. With a flame mark between her brows, she possessed an unparalleled beauty, her waist adorned with a coiled whip. Though wearing similar attire to the others, her striking figure and graceful allure lent her an undeniable charm. She was none other than "Yi Girl," the one who had once whipped Ding Qiyu into a bloody mess at the brothel. She was Le Zhuyi, the third disciple of the palace master Le Qiuli of Qianli Palace, and widely recognized as the Young Palace Master.
Qianli Palace, a mysterious sect in the martial world, accepted only female disciples who trained in the art of the Flaming Whip. Though their actions were discreet, their influence was substantial, marking them as one of the five major sects. While outsiders referred to them as "Qianli Sect," insiders preferred "Qianli Palace."
The palace master had five disciples: Le Mengxiao, Le Menghan, Le Zhuyi, Le Menglan, and Le Mengchun, in order of entry. Le Zhuyi stood out not only for her exceptional martial talent, being the most outstanding among her peers, but also as the only biological daughter of the palace master, making her the most likely successor. With the palace master absent for three months, she managed the palace affairs, earning her the title of Young Palace Master.
