On the shaded side of Wan Mountain, there was a large yet simple courtyard that Ding Qiyu hadn't noticed before from Qingliu Garden, located on the sunnier side of the mountain. As she alighted from her carriage, she was surprised to see another carriage already parked there—it was the "special carriage" belonging to the little girl, Fu Ruqing. Was she here?

Standing by the carriage were two female guards who recognized Ding Qiyu, as they took turns with her as the young lady's guard. They greeted her respectfully, "Mr. Ding." Yinsuo had already informed them that Mr. Ding was a valued guest of the young lady, and they were not to be careless in their manners.

Ding Qiyu returned their greeting, "Hello." She then curiously asked, "Is the young lady inside?"

"Yes, she just went in. Do you need to see her for something?" one of the guards replied.

"No, no, I'm here for something else. Isn't this where Chan Jue Temple shelters the beggars and refugees? What is the young lady doing here?" Ding Qiyu asked, though she had a sneaking suspicion.

"These refugees and beggars are sheltered here thanks to the young lady's funding. For those capable of working, she arranges suitable jobs for them. This place mainly houses the elderly, women, and children. Recently, a new group of refugees arrived, so the young lady came to check on them," the guard explained, not forgetting to praise, "Our young lady is very kind-hearted. I just heard someone call her a 'living Bodhisattva.'"

So that's how it was... Ding Qiyu smiled, realizing it was Fu Ruqing who supported the temple's charitable work. Feeling more intrigued by what the little girl was doing inside, she greeted the guards and entered the courtyard.

Inside, several large rooms were visible, with one room's entrance crowded by children of varying heights, all peering inside with curiosity.

Quietly approaching, Ding Qiyu stood behind the children, easily able to see over them thanks to her height.

Fu Ruqing stood by a bed, with Yinsuo beside her and several women around. An elderly woman lay on the bed, appearing gravely ill, holding the hand of a young woman seated beside her. The elderly woman was speaking to Fu Ruqing in a weak voice, but Ding Qiyu couldn't hear.

After the elderly woman finished speaking, the young woman expressed heartfelt gratitude, "Thank you, young lady. You truly have a heart of gold! My mother has improved much after taking the doctor's prescribed remedies. We all thought, thought she..." Her voice broke, tears welling up.

Fu Ruqing nodded, "It's good that her condition is improving."

The elderly woman continued speaking, while Fu Ruqing listened patiently, and the surrounding women praised their kind-hearted young lady.

Watching this scene, Ding Qiyu's smile widened, feeling a warm sense of connection as if she had peeled away the cold exterior of this white-clad figure to touch a pure and kind heart... For some reason, Ding Qiyu's heart seemed to skip a beat...

The children in front noticed the shadow behind them and turned to see a handsome "brother" standing there. A little girl, forgetting her mother's earlier admonition, curiously asked, "Who are you, brother?"

Her voice drew everyone's attention to Ding Qiyu. Feeling awkward, she smiled at Fu Ruqing, who looked slightly puzzled, and gently patted the little girl's head, pointing to Fu Ruqing, "I'm a friend of that sister."
