Ding Qiyu's sincere tone seemed genuine, and truly, even if she were to be punished, it wouldn't resolve the problem. The intent of capturing her was to make her accountable for the consequences of her actions. Yet, Ding Qiyu's proposed solution was unexpected—could the Flaming Whip really be easily modified? With skepticism, Le Zhuyi asked, "Our Qianli Palace has used the Flaming Whip for many years; are you sure you can improve it?"

Feeling exasperated at having her skills questioned again, Ding Qiyu sighed. Weapon modification wasn't her forte, and she couldn't boast. "Um, since Yi Girl brought me here, you must know I'm the master of Jiangnan's Mechanism Pavilion. I have some expertise in mechanism arts and, since this is my mistake, I'll use my knowledge to improve the Flaming Whip."

Danming Mountain was part of the Jiangnan Seventy-Two Mountains, not far from Chengzhou. The flying mechanisms from the Mechanism Pavilion had appeared in the streets of Chengzhou and Yinzou, familiar to Qianli Palace. Sisters returning from errands often brought back gadgets from the pavilion.

Le Mengchun recalled purchasing a magical wooden kite recently, realizing the person she brought back was its creator! A hint of admiration arose, but she suppressed it, reminding herself that this was an enemy, no matter how skilled.

Le Zhuyi, aware of Ding Qiyu's identity, considered her mechanical skills trustworthy. With Ding Qiyu's assurance, she decided to let her improve the Flaming Whip. "Fine," she said, retracting the whip that threatened Ding Qiyu, crossing her arms with a smile. "If you can't make the Flaming Whip better... you'll stay in Qianli Palace as a carpenter, fixing things." Though her words were a threat, her demeanor exuded an inexplicable allure.

Ding Qiyu, relieved at the whip's removal, felt the pressure increase. Yi Girl implied she couldn't leave until the whip was improved. She had to return to Yinzou and marry Qing'er; she couldn't stay at Qianli Palace forever! With a silent groan, she nodded. "I'll do my best..."

Le Zhuyi's smile widened. She instructed her junior sister, "Mengchun, you'll oversee her from now on."

"Yes!" Le Mengchun acknowledged, determined to fulfill her sister's task by keeping a close watch on the "villain."

"Aunt Lin, her health?" Le Zhuyi asked the healer.

"The poison is cleared, and now she's awake, there should be no major issues," Aunt Lin replied honestly.

"Alright then..." Le Zhuyi considered this before addressing Ding Qiyu, still stiff and lying on the bed. "I'll give you two more days to rest before you start on the Flaming Whip." Aunt Lin's assurance allowed her to extend this small kindness to the troublesome carpenter.

Concerned about her own recovery, Ding Qiyu hurriedly asked, "Yi Girl, what happened to the caravan I was with when you brought me here?"

Not having captured her herself, Le Zhuyi glanced at Le Mengchun, who seemed puzzled by the question. "The caravan? Nothing happened to them," Le Mengchun replied, recalling the events. She added with a playful grin, "We took you when the 'young miss' was busy gathering shadow guards. The remaining guards were clueless about our hiding spot and kept chasing us!"

"Look at you, proud of bringing back someone unconscious," Le Menglan teased dismissively.

"She's awake now!" Le Mengchun retorted indignantly.
