Thanks to the effective medicine from the old man and the tender care of Lu Weixi, Ding Qiyu's fever subsided by the afternoon, and her spirits were much improved.

In the room, Ding Qiyu wore a cloth over her face as a makeshift mask, holding Weixi's soft hand, whispering sweet nothings between lovers.

A knock at the door interrupted them, followed by Lu Weiming's voice, "Brother Yu, Weixi, Miss Yun is here."

Miss Yun? Ding Qiyu instinctively glanced at Lu Weixi beside her. Weixi looked back, then averted her gaze, withdrawing her hand from Qiyu's grasp. She stood up to open the door.

Yun Yi, anxious about Ding Qiyu's condition, had deliberated for a long time before mustering the courage to visit under the guise of fulfilling her brother's request. She hadn't expected Qiyu to be sick with a cold, or that Weixi and Weiming would be present, suddenly feeling like the center of attention, nervously clutching her clothes.

Opening the door, Weixi saw Yun Yi's nervous demeanor and politely nodded, "Miss Yun."

"Miss Lu..." Yun Yi replied softly.

"Weixi, you might not know, but Miss Yun helped us search for you last night after you fell into the water. She was the first to hear Brother Yu's call," Lu Weiming explained, grateful for Yun Yi's assistance, which he had forgotten about until now.

"N-no, I didn't do much..." Yun Yi quickly said, not wanting her involvement to be known.

"I see..." Weixi replied thoughtfully, wondering if Yun Yi's actions were because of Qiyu. Images of Qiyu supporting a flushed Yun Yi came to mind, stirring a pang of jealousy. Yet, genuinely grateful for Yun Yi's help, she suppressed her feelings and smiled, "Thank you, Miss Yun, for your efforts last night." After a pause, she added, "Qiyu is inside; please go ahead..." She bowed to Yun Yi and her brother, then left the doorway.

Yun Yi, too nervous to notice Weixi's subtle expressions, felt relieved as Weixi left. In the presence of the poised and talented Weixi, she often felt inadequate. Glancing at the slightly open door, Yun Yi knocked softly and entered after hearing a response.

Lu Weiming noticed his sister's shift in mood, quickly realizing the cause. Watching Yun Yi enter, he caught up with Weixi, "Weixi!"

Lost in thought, Weixi paused at his call, turning back, "Second Brother?"

"Not happy?" Lu Weiming asked, studying her expression.

Weixi turned away, avoiding his scrutiny, "No..."

Seeing through her, Lu Weiming teased, "Playing hard to get, huh? If you care so much, why didn't you go in with Miss Yun?"

Weixi pouted slightly, speaking softly, "She's here to see Qiyu, why should I go in..."

"To keep an eye on him, make sure he behaves," Lu Weiming joked.

"He wouldn't misbehave even if I'm not there," Weixi said, a touch of defiance in her voice. She had never questioned how Yun Yi and Qiyu met or the nature of their relationship.

Laughing, Lu Weiming said, "True, Brother Yu adores you; he wouldn't dare misbehave. Come, sit with me, you haven't rested enough."
