Day 23:
I couldn't believe my eyes. Here I was, just one step away from my grave when suddenly a sweet-looking, kind-looking, snack-looking human appeared in front of me. Thank you for the food! It seems I won't die today! Those were my thoughts before I ate the little kid. It was better than anything I had before! Even than deer.
Just kidding, I could never bring myself to eat a human even if I wasn't one anymore. Besides, that curious gaze of her wasn't hostile, or so I hoped.
My hopes were banished the moment she ran away from me. That's it. She will call up some adults who will end my miserable yet short life. Well, at least I will make up some nice dragon carpets.
My resignation came back as my short-lived hope was leaving my body at a fast pace.
Fucking green dragon... well, red dragons aren't better, right assholes who ditch me here?!
I was frustrated, sad, and just a bit furious. But as my fury disappeared, my sadness embraced my resignation and the cold fingers of death were closer and closer.
I closed my eyes. When the fury was gone, only frustration and sadness remained. When my frustration was gone, only sadness remained. When my sadness was gone, only resignation remained. I was at peace with death, I was going to be free of this cruel and unexpected fantastical world. I was free... No, I was lying to myself.
It's not that I accepted death, I just don't have any other option, and I don't have any reason to stay alive. Maybe this world just isn't for me.
As my mind wandered with such thoughts time went by faster than I could notice.
"@7adfY46+#@468!-%," squeaked the little kid suddenly.
I opened my eyes after hearing such incomprehensible words. To my surprise, she was back but there weren't any adults with her, and she was holding something in her arms, she placed the thing near me and just looked at me before saying some incomprehensible things again."a@4$%69ahdfk(67311.%$+," said the kid.
I looked down at what the kid brought me. It was meat, too little to satisfy a dragon, but meat. I felt like laughing. Here I was, acting all depressed about dying. Why was I given up so easily? I am fucking dragon! I just need to eat. I don't think this little portion of meat would even restore a claw, but I will be grateful to this kid and eat it.
As I ate the meat in just one bite, the girl approached me and put her hand on my head. Hey kid, do you have any idea of how dangerous it is to touch a dragon? I am sure that greeny in the forest would have just eaten you up! You definitely fail the Darwin test of the survival of the most fitted!
When I was thinking such silly things, her hand glowed a bit as if she was using magic. I instinctively cut off a connection she was trying to enable. I didn't know how, but I knew that if I didn't cut it off, that little girl would put me under control or something like that. And I didn't intend to be a human's pet.
Once I cut off the connection I growled a bit to let her know I wasn't happy with what she tried to do. She fall flat on her butt and looked with wide-opened eyes for a moment, before running away back to her town. I felt a little bad about the situation, but I needed to make things clear.
Okay, now it's time to catch some prey! I thought before trying to get up, but... I fell again, my wounds were too much. Can't I do anything? But before I could keep up that train of thought a blessing approached me in the form of a tiger-like beast. There, ready to pounce on me at any second now, was one of the famous kitties I'd faced before.
