Day 27:
Damn! The girl is here and Greeny is coming for me. What do I do?! What can I... Oh! I know! I can go fight him before he gets closer to her.
However, as he was approaching, I noticed something. Behind him, 3 tigers were coming this way too. They usually hunt alone, that's weird. Also, are they working with Greeny? Is he controlling them? Wait! If I go and face him one of the tigers may go for the girl. Damn!
Okay, calm down. First, I need to make the kid go back to her town. As I was worried about such things, she already put the meat before me. I just ignored her and growled to scare her away. She flinched for a moment, but immediately after looked at me with determination and a bit of nervousness.
Without any time to spare, I growled again, this time I was louder and more aggressive since I was desperate for her to get away. But it backfired. She got weak on her knees and fell, she was so scared that the only thing she could do was tremble. It was as if she was restrained by fear. I felt terrible. Damn! What do I do now?
Fine, I will have to fight them from here. I decided to put some distance between the girl and me, enough so I wouldn't get her involved, but close enough to protect her if something happened. Then I'll shoot some fireballs at the tigers until I kill them. That will make the last battle a one versus one.
If I was lucky she'd leave the forest on her own before or during the battle.
In my mind, dealing with Greeny was easy. I should just keep my distance flying and attack him from far away while dodging his attacks. It was a simple but nice plan considering he couldn't fly.
Now, away from the girl who was still shocked and unable to move, I leaped into the sky and looked down on the forest searching for my new meals, I mean, my foes. I could hear where they were, approximately. But the forest had so many trees that I couldn't see them, so I considered shooting some preventive fireballs in those directions, but that would only set the forest on fire.
As I waited there for a while, flapping my wings, the first tiger came into view in the clearing beneath me. Without a second thought, I fired a big fireball. Tiger 1 dodged it nimbly, but the ensuing explosion made it lose its balance. I didn't back down and fired a second and third fireball. The next thing I knew, the tiger was heavily wounded.
They usually try to escape once they get this wounded, but this one got up and tried to keep its pursuit of me. You can't touch me up here. Are you trying to kill yourself or something? As merciful as I am, I rushed down at full speed and finished it off with my claws. Bad idea.
As soon as I killed the kitty, a fireball flew my way and knocked me down. Fuck!
I quickly got back on my feet and flew into the sky again. That was close.
The main dish had arrived before the other two starters. Most importantly, I was so focused on killing Tiger 1 that I didn't pay attention to Greeny's position. That's a mistake I can't make again.
As I mused, Greeny started shooting fireballs at me, which I dodged with ease. This was simple, I dodged and fired, dodged and fired. I was getting more than one hit on him and he wasn't even grazing me. Then, the 2nd tiger appeared, and I heard the 3rd one some distance away.
While dodging Greeny's attacks I focused mine on Tiger 2 and took it down easily with just three fireballs. The first failed, the second made it lose its balance and the third was a direct hit so it scorched the tiger. Once I took Kitty 2 down, I focused once again on Greeny.
