When I first entered the town following Elara, I expected some chaos. So I wasn't surprised when the first man to see me rushed with a... shovel? Yes, with a shovel in hand.

"Elara! Get away from the dragon!" exclaimed the man before swinging the shovel at me. Unsurprisingly, it got bent against my scales.

Man, knights nowadays are really lacking. What do you fight these days, frogs?

Elara was as dumbfounded as I was. I can't blame you, kid, this guy is surely something. But when she was about to say something, the man ran away deeper into the town screaming.

"A dragon! A dragon! A dragon kidnapped Elara!"

With that, the man got lost in the distance, but many other people started coming and looking in our direction. We were barely outside the forest yet were already the center of attention. Some people ran away upon sight, but some other more curious or stupid ones kept their distance forming quite a large group. They were dumbfounded and mostly wary of me.

 "A dragon!"

 "Isn't that Elara?"

"How did it get across the magic barrier?!"

"Dragons aren't from this region, why is it here?"

Wait, we aren't? Then what about my parents and Greeny? And someone said something about a magical barrier? I didn't have any problem entering, though.

Elara took some steps towards them and screamed at the top of her lungs, "Don't worry! I tamed the dragon! He is my monster!" Only to smile full of pride afterward.

"Kid! Get away from the dragon!"

"Poor girl, the dragon must have hypnotized her or something."

What? I can't hypnotize people! Wait, can I?

"No, I mean it, he's harmless!" insisted the cheerful girl.

However, just at that moment, some burly men arrived. They had some spears, blades, and bows. Most of them looked like hunters, but two in particular wore what seemed like soldier's uniforms. All of them walked in front of everyone as if trying to shield the rest of the people.

"Fort! You are finally here!" said someone to one of the bulky men, probably a hunter. "Kill that dragon, help the little girl!"

The man frowned while staring at me, "I'm sorry, but dragons aren't creatures we can defeat." At those words, the people started getting uneasy and discouraged, and the man continued, "So, stop fooling around y'all! Get away from here, we'll take ca—"

"I SAID I TAMED IT! So stop it! He won't hurt you, it's okay!" The girl was beginning to get impatient. "Call Lizzy! You'll see!"

Just as she said that I noticed three people approaching us from the distance. One was the shovel knight from before, also known as Frog Slayer. The other two were an old man and a nice-looking woman, I'd bet she was in her late or mid-twenties. They both wore some robes. A religious thing?

As I was wondering that, both men stopped at a safe distance with the rest, but the woman kept going. Oh my! I know I am handsome and all but human women don't appeal to me anymore. I prefer naps nowadays.

"Elara! Run! Run away from that dragon!" Said the woman. Oh, you're the jealous type, is that it? Don't worry, I only have eyes for you, unknown woman.

The addressed girl just started jumping like a kangaroo and then said, "Look, Miss Lizzy! Look! This is my dragon! I tamed it!" Oh, so that is Lizzy. I couldn't see Elara's face since she was showing me her back, but I bet she was smiling like a fool, an adorable one.
