My mother lied to me.
"Mom, you literally said that if I told you the truth you'd still let me go there!" I whined.
"And you will be. Just not tonight."
I'm going to kill somebody.
"Why the hell not?!"
"Don't say hell, it's not polite." She switched the stove off, i'm still pissed.
"Why can't I—"
"Ramona! You can't go over to their house tonight because they're coming here. Do you think i'm cooking a four course meal for no reason?! No. Now shut up and go watch TV." She waved me away, oh.
I put a pep in my step, running over to the couch. She slowly shook her head and began to speak to herself.
"And now she's happy. Her happiness revolves around a seventeen year old boy, ahoo, what have I gotten myself into?"
I ignored her and texted said seventeen year old boy.
R: you coming over tonight!!?
Tom: That's right. I am.
R: YAYAYAYA
R: wait, ur mom knows she can't bring up our relationship in front of my dad & brother
R: right?
Tom: Yes, she knows fully well
Tom: I gave her a full speech
R: good
R: my gosh i'm so excited, do u think she'll let you in my room... or no?
Tom: Probably
Tom: But we won't be alone
Tom: Bill says I hog you too much
R: he's right
R: u hog me from all of my friends, they're starting to get upset with me
Tom: It feels like I still don't see you enough
R: i know right?!
R: but they don't get it
R: unfortunately.
Tom: I thought I wasn't allowed to send everything in different text messages anymore?
R: oops.
R: it's only ok when i do it
Tom: That's right baby.
Tom: Keep that confidence up, don't let anyone tell you different
I fell back on the couch, feeling like I was in my own little world right now.
My mother, of course, had to interrupt my world, by saying, "And now her laughter revolves around the boy."
