-THREE WEEKS LATER-
I was fully settled in now.
I hadn't talked to Tom since that night and I never got caught for sneaking out, thanking god for that one.
My dad would have taken away everything I owned, including my own thoughts.
I got out of Mrs. Lemay's car, thanking her for driving me to school this morning.
I knew the bus was a thing but it's a twenty minute walk from my stop to my house and the roads were all ice and snow.
I'd rather not trip and fall to my death if you know what I mean?
"So, any updates?" Ella questioned, shoving her hands into her winter coat. I slowly shook my head. "The only times i've seen him are on my way to fourth period."
And it sucked because I'd gained a little bit of an... uhm.
Liking to him.
It was weird—sure i've had crushes before that was mainly just finding guys at my previous schools attractive.
This was... different.
It felt deeper and in a way that I didn't understand. I don't know what was so appealing, what was so different.
I went to all of my classes, just like usual.
When I had gotten to lunch... he was actually in the line and waiting to get food.
Someone didn't want to skip today.
"I still think that 'someone' was you." Cali claimed, noticing who I'd been looking at.
She's talking about when we prank called him, i'm still not sure about that part.
I put in my ID number, smiling at the lunch lady before I went to get some ranch for my fries. Ugh, i'm so confused.
Why does he never talk to me when we see each other? I mean he has my number and he never texts me—i'm pretty thankful for that because he can't text for the life of him.
I'm glad he turned out to not be a snitch though, that's definitely good.
There had been a wedge driven in our friend group at the moment.
Lia and Angie got into an argument, they won't say what it's about but they also won't speak a single word to each other.
It's all confusing.
