Chapter 32: The Artist

Y/N's PoV

I've arrived at Shujin Academy, felt like attending a day with the volunteers for Adventuer's Guild to work with my quota. It must be a lunch break with some students roaming around, can hear them gossiping about stuff.

Shujin Student #1: "Hey, you heard about last night?"

Shujin Student #2: "About Dead Wind Caverns? I have heard some stuff about it."

Shujin Student #1: "Apparently some adventurers were seen going into the cave and walked out of there, alive."

Shujin Student #2: "That's crazy! Someone had some balls to go up against whatever monsters they're going up against, what was it?"

Shujin Student #1: "Deathclaws?"

Seems I've done some things at Dead Winds Caverns when I was going there to save Lili from those assholes. Knowing how bad it is in there, I am thankful to have survived going inside there and get Lili out in one piece... I happen to run into Ren, Ryuji and Ann who look happy to see me,

Ryuji: "Hey man. It's good to see you."

Y/N: "You too. What's new?"

Ann: "Heard that some students were talking about a... a cave with bad rumors."

Y/N: "Know any details?"

Ann: "All I know is that a few adventurers went into a cave, later a few more adventurers appeared at the cave and the same ones entered and left the cave. Do you know anything about that?"

Y/N: "I have, I happen to be that guy who went into that cave and lived."

Ryuji: "You were one of those adventurers that entered the cave?! Holy shit man, what even happened there?"

Y/n: "It was a long story, I'll tell you about it another time... Anything new in Shujin lately?"

Ryuji: "We heard that there is an upcoming assembly today that will start after lunch break."

Y/N: "Another assembly? I'm assuming the principle is trying to save face due to the scandal that happened with the gym teacher."

Ryuji: "Definitely the case with all the presence from the media and police questioning students, staff alike with enough evidence to convict Kamoshida."

Y/N: "Hopefully a life sentence."

Morgana: *pops head out of Ren's beg* "Oh, he will surely be away for a life time now that we've changed his heart, least before you joined us after."

Y/N: "Any new leads so far for the next target?"

Morgana: "Nothing so far since we're currently going after small targets on the Phan-site. We'll look for a major target soon to change his heart."

I hear the bell ring, knowing that lunch time is over.

Ren: "Looks like the assembly is about to start soon. We should get going."

Y/N: "Let's go then."

Time Skip

We're currently in the gym building with all the students gathered around, the principal is on stage, speaking onto the microphone to address the situation with the incident. Seems the representation for Adventurer's Guild was not enough to protect the school's reputation...

Principal: "Ever since that specific incident, many of you have voiced concerns that I could not bear to ignore. We believe the mental health of our student body is absolutely vital, so we've acquired the services of a therapist."

A therapist, would it be enough to repair the damages to the school's reputation with that scandal? It's like trying to fix a sinking ship with only glue and duct tape. Could it help everyone that suffered the abuses?
