=ANNABETH'S POV=

I'm dying.

Those two words kept repeating inside my head. It suddenly all made sense. Why Percy's face looked like he was crying over someone he loved, which was in fact, exactly what happened. Well, if you count it happening in a nightmare, then yes, that is exactly what happened.

I stared at the screen of the 'TV on Wheels' (couldn't Jason think of something better?), Percy was saying something, but it was inaudible.

"Will?" I asked.

"What?"

"Could you turn up the sound please?"

"Sure." He fiddled with his remote control again and after about a minute, the sound suddenly turned up.

"I'm just going to turn it back, to when Percy first sees Annabeth," Will told us.

Everyone nodded in acknowledgement.

He pressed a few more buttons and then the screen changed.

Percy was standing in the middle of a grey wasteland, when he turned around and noticed me lying on the ground. I guess he was curious or something because he moved closer. Then he just stood there for a moment studying the other me. When he realized the truth of who was actually lying on the ground, his eyes widened.

No, no, no.... ANNABETH!" He shrieked.

"Percy..." The other me whispered.

"Annabeth, no! You are not dying on me, Wise Girl. Please!"

It hurt me so much to see him like this, I felt like my heart was breaking into tiny little pieces.

"Percy, I-I lo-love you..."

"No, no, Annabeth, PLEASE." He sobbed.

My eyes became lifeless and cold. That's when I knew that I had died, well the other me had died.

"NOOO!!!!" He screamed.

I watched in horror as he simply kneeled on the ground and cried his heart out. I wanted to be there, to comfort him, to tell him that it wasn't real, that it was just a dream. No. Not a dream. A nightmare.

Gasps echoed all around the room, and I knew why. To most of the campers this was unthinkable. Percy Jackson, Hero of Olympus, never cried. To most of the campers, their leader, the confident sixteen year old teen, had broke. Which was true. He had broke and it was all because of me.

Guilt washed over me and I started sobbing again. Great, I thought. Now BOTH of the camp's leaders have broke. I shook my head. Keep it together Annabeth, it's not real, Percy's just having a nightmare, that's all.

I wanted to assure him that it wasn't me, that it was just a figment of his imagination. But demigod dreams are never just figments of our imagination, they're either visions, or they mean something. But obviously, this wasn't a normal demigod dream... This was...something else. An idea started forming in my mind about what could have been intercepting the signal when Will tried to see further back into Percy's nightmare... A horrifying idea, that's for sure. But better than no idea at all.
