The battle had come to an end, however, despite that Iris had was kneeling in between Ameyalli and Floriana. She was still using Ágio Fos (Holy Light, Greek) on their injuries. "Oh, you're awake." Seeing the eyes belonging to Ameyalli open, Iris smiled down at her filled with relief. However, the woman's eyes glanced over to the still unconscious Floriana, who was laying on her stomach and head pointing to Ameyalli. Seeing that her breathing was steady and there was no more pain stretched across her face.
"Why did you help us?" This question came from Ameyalli as her head had been pointed up at the sky.
"'Why?'" The blond woman looked down at her confused upon hearing that.
"We're enemies and I even tried to kill you." This was being said as she continued looking up at the sky. "You have no reason to help us and yet you did." But Ameyalli's eyes had glanced towards her.
"Because someone that is willing to play along with their enemies game to protect their friends, isn't a terrible person." Upon saying this to the woman, Iris smiled softly. Seeing this, Ameyalli moved her sights over to where Bertha was laying in the distance.
"Is she dead?" This had been asked by her.
"No." This simple answer was given as the blond hair woman glanced over to were the priest was laying. She was still alive and Iris had treated her enough to prevent her death. She then glanced back down to Ameyalli with a serious expression. "Do you planning to kill her?" This had been asked to her.
"... What if I say yes? Will you try and stop me?" The two of them were now looking into each other's eyes, as if looking for something.
"I won't." Iris had finally spoken after sighing while shaking her head. "However, have you ever actually killed someone before?" Despite this question being asked Ameyalli remained silences, which had answered her regardless. "People don't think much of it, but taking life is heavy. Especially when it's filled with anger and hated." As she spoke, Iris glanced back over to Bertha. "You might feel better after doing it, however, as time goes on that anger and that hatred will return and fester into something far greater than you could ever imagine." Her sight moved back to Ameyalli who was looking right at her. "I'm not telling you not to kill her, all I'm saying is to think about the future which you wish to create for yourself and those you care for." Those words had been said but it had been followed by silence on the other hand. However, it was clear that the words spoken had given Ameyalli some insight about what she was going to do.Some time had passed, Iris was now flying through the forest once again, heading north in order to meet up with the others. Ameyalli had forced her to leave, stating that they would be fine since Floriana also regained consciousness. The two of them had decided to head back to where their village was. This allowed Iris to leave with no worries. However, it took her some time but Iris soon found herself landing on onto the land just before a clearing which was filled with clouds that had ruins sticking out of them. "Is this the right place?" She wasn't completely sure and there wasn't a single one of her crew there either, adding to her unsureness as she was standing for what looked to be an entrance to a hallway belonging to a ruin.
"Miss Angel?" But that had all changed upon hearing this familiar nickname along with the voice, Iris glanced towards the owner in relief.
"Robin!" And smiled the moment she saw Robin, looking at her. However, the smile disappeared upon seeing the state she was in. "What happened? Who did this to you?" Iris ran over to her, slight panicked.
"Nothing really, just a bull crashing into things." Was the simple response she gave, chuckling.
"But you're covered with so many wounds!" Upon saying this, Iris had began using her Ágio Fos (Holy Light, Greek) once again. The archaeologist just watched the blonde hair woman, slightly surprised by her actions and how her wounds were slowly closing up. "It's a good thing they weren't serious." She had been relieved upon seeing that the wounds had all disappeared. "Have you seen the others yet?" Iris moved onto to other things as she asked Robin about the others in their group.
"No, I haven't." However, it seemed that she was more interested in the small notebook she was looking down at.
"Is something wrong?" Seeing the expression on the dark hair woman's face caused Iris to ask this.
"This should be the centre of the city. It doesn't match the map of the monument at all." This was the answer given to her as Robin was glancing around them and down to her book.
"Hmmm.... Maybe things had been knocked and shifted around when the island had been blasted into the sky?" Iris had suggested this being the reason behind it.
"That could be the case." And it seemed that it was agreed upon by the woman that had entered the ruins.
"Shouldn't we wait for Luffy and the others?" Upon asking this, the angel had began following after her.
"It should be fine." Had been the response give back as they continued down the passage way that had vines growing across the walls. There was a silence which hanged over to pair and Iris couldn't help but notice that Robin appeared to be in deep in thought about something. However, despite knowing this, she did not speak up and only followed. It was then when light had appeared at the end of the tunnel and they exited to see even more ruins of the city appearing inside the clouds that surrounded the ground, while a large bean stalk stood high.
"Amazing..." Iris was glancing around even more amazed than before as it was both beautiful and impressive sight to behold. She had never seen anything like this before. The two woman continued walking through the ruins while Robin seemed to be taking notes when finding what appeared to be ancient writing. Iris was also taking notes but it hadn't been for translating the text but for her to recall everything she's seen to write in her book. After a while to two women had come to be sitting on a stair case of the ruins while Robin was looking at her notes.
"There's something strange about this." She was speaking out loud.
"You feel the same way too?" And it seemed that she had been the only one that felt this way. Iris began looking around at their surroundings. "Can this really be the City of Gold that Norland wrote about?"
"The size and topography are completely different. And most unnatural of all..." Robin didn't complete her sentence before closing her book. "The only entrance is on the upper level." They were both now standing in front of something that appeared to be some sort of temple, but the only entrance to it was at the top of a flight of stairs. Just as they were about to start climbing up them.
"Hey, Robin." Iris stopped and bent down to look at where the stairs started, she couldn't help but notice something was off about them. "Look at the stairs here."
"What about them?" Her sight fell to where the angel was looking and her eyes widen in shock as if something came to her mind the moment she saw it. "Could it be!?"
