*Flashback*

During a pivotal moment—perhaps an emotional breakdown or a significant life event—Mikha and Aiah could no longer hold back their feelings. One of them makes the first move, leading to a beautiful, heart-racing confession. The next part of the story showcases the blissful early stages of their relationship. Secret dates, intimate conversations, and stolen moments of affection fill their days. They keep their relationship private, knowing the public eye will complicate things, but this secrecy makes their love even more intense.

It was a rainy evening, and the sky seemed to reflect the heaviness that Aiah had been carrying for a while. She stood by her bedroom window, watching raindrops race down the glass, and sighed. The emotional rollercoaster of family problems, work pressures, and unresolved feelings was finally getting to her. That familiar tightness in her chest returned, a reminder of how much she had bottled up inside.

Instinctively, she picked up her phone and dialed the one number that mattered most in moments like this.

"Mikhaela?" Aiah's voice trembled as soon as the call connected.

"Hey, Maraiah what's up?" Mikha replied, instantly noticing the shakiness in Aiah's voice. "What's wrong? Where are you?"

"I'm home alone." Aiah murmured. "Can... can you come over?"

"I'll be there in 10 minutes."

When Mikha arrived, she let herself in using the spare key Aiah had given her. She found Aiah sitting on the couch, hugging her knees to her chest. Without a word, Mikha crossed the room and wrapped her arms around Aiah, holding her tightly.

"Whatever it is, I'm here." Mikha whispered, rubbing Aiah's back. "It's going to be okay."

Aiah felt herself break in Mikha's arms, the tears she had held back for so long spilling over. Mikha didn't push for explanations or try to fix things. She just held Aiah close, her presence grounding and comforting.

As the sobs subsided, Aiah pulled back, wiping her eyes. "I'm sorry... I didn't mean to—"

"Don't apologize." Mikha interrupted gently. "You're allowed to feel things, Maraiah. You're allowed to be human."

Aiah looked at Mikha, feeling a surge of gratitude mixed with something deeper, something she had tried to ignore for so long. It hit her like a wave—she couldn't keep pretending anymore.

"Mikha..." Aiah began, her voice barely a whisper. "There's something I need to tell you."

Mikha's expression softened, concern etched into her features. "What is it?"

Aiah took a deep breath, her heart racing. "I'm in love with you, Mikhaela." she confessed, her voice trembling but resolute. "I've been trying to push it away, but I can't anymore."

For a moment, Mikha was silent, her eyes widening slightly. Aiah could feel her nerves getting the best of her, and she almost pulled away when Mikha's hand reached out, grasping hers firmly.

"Ate Aiah." Mikha whispered, her voice steady but laced with emotion. "I love you too."

Aiah blinked, stunned. "You... do?"

Mikha smiled, her eyes brimming with unshed tears. "I've loved you for a long time. I just didn't know how to tell you."

Aiah felt a weight lift off her chest, replaced by a rush of warmth and relief. She didn't know what to say, so she simply leaned forward, resting her forehead against Mikha's, both of them closing their eyes and savoring the moment.

The days that followed were filled with secret dates and stolen moments. Late-night walks became their favorite, holding hands as they talked about their dreams, their fears, and the little things that made them happy. They spent quiet afternoons watching movies on Aiah's couch, with Mikha resting her head on Aiah's shoulder, feeling more at home than she ever had before.
