Chapter 70: It Couldn't Hold It Anymore

The oppressive tension in the air felt unbearable. Fiver's stomach churned, the pain intensifying with every heartbeat. They had been pushing forward for what felt like hours, and the shadows of the past and future loomed larger around them. Every rustle of leaves seemed to echo the horrors he had seen, and he could no longer suppress the mounting dread.

He stumbled, clutching his belly as another wave of nausea washed over him. "I can't..." he gasped, the words catching in his throat. "I can't hold it anymore!"

Hazel immediately turned, concern etched on his face. "Fiver, focus! Just breathe. We'll find a place to rest," he urged, stepping closer, ready to support his brother.

But Fiver could feel the pressure building—both in his stomach and in his mind. The images from his visions swirled, a chaotic storm that left no room for clarity. In that moment, he felt a deep, primal urge rising within him. The visions had been warnings, and now they demanded release.

"I can't... I can't fight it!" Fiver cried out as he fell to his knees, the ground rushing up to meet him. The world around him began to blur, and he was overwhelmed by a rush of sensations—sights, sounds, and smells that had haunted him.

Bigwig knelt beside him, worry painted across his features. "Fiver, stay with us! Just breathe. We'll get through this!"

But as Fiver's body rebelled, the horrors of the world he had seen erupted forth. He retched, the violent heaving shaking him as he surrendered to the wave of sickness. The sounds of their surroundings faded as his vision narrowed, consumed by the darkness that surrounded him.

As he heaved, the overwhelming stench of decay flooded his senses, a grim reminder of the fate he feared for them all. In that moment, he felt utterly helpless, caught in a cycle of dread that seemed to promise only despair.
