"So, explain to me more about this whole 'Dragon's Edge' thing," I said to Hiccup. He rolled his green eyes just like mine and launched into another description about how Dagur the Deranged went past the Archipelago to prepare for war against the Berkians. They were hunting him down but the distance was too far for them to keep traveling back and forth from Berk. So they built a base called the Dragon's Edge for them to stay at while they tracked him down.

"Please tell me that was the last time you will ask that." Hiccup pleaded. I laughed and nodded, I finally understood.

Three days had passed since Adira had found me on Arboribus. I had buried the grief of my village in helping out around Berk, thus causing Stoick to make me a Viking. There was a festival and Adira, Hiccup, and I all tied in the dragon racing games. The other dragons competing were no match for the three Strike Class dragons.

"Are we there yet? My wings are about to fall off." The voice of Iris, Melanite's daughter, almost scared me out of my skin.

"Why did I just hear Iris?" I glared at Adira.

She just smiled. "This morning I made it so you can understand dragons."

"And why didn't you do us?" Snotlout asked, clearly jealous.

"Trust me Snotty, you don't want to hear what Hookfang has to say about you," Adira replied smoothly. Snotlout grimaced at the new nickname.

      "Snotty?" I chuckled, "that's a new one."

"And yes, Iris, we are almost there," Adira told the small Skrill.

No more than ten minutes later we were landing on Dragon's Edge. The sight of it surprised me, I expected it to be smaller, but the riders had obviously put a lot of work into it. I looked at each of the rider's huts. Hiccup's seemed ordinary enough, while Astrid's seemed to be the most heavily armed hut in history. Snotlout's was covered in the letter s, and Fishlegs' seemed like the perfect place for relaxation. The twins had a large pit beneath theirs, where I heard the occasional squeal of a boar. Finally, Adira's was the biggest, with seven stables attached to it.

"Do I get to build my own hut?" I asked Adira.

"Yep, I can get the frame started if you want." When I nodded, she swiftly turned into a Bladewing and shot a wood ball, creating an empty hut with a bed and a stable beside it for Frostbite.

"Thanks," I told her and headed over to check it out.

"Guys, wait. One more thing." Adira stopped us. "I can't handle seven young dragons. Not with so much for us to deal with. So I was thinking about it. We divide the dragons up amongst us. Not including the twins," she shot Ruff and Tuff a look. It was clear to anyone that the both of them could barely take care of one dragon. "I can have two because Nightflash and Melanite can take care of Iris, leaving one more for me. The other five can divide up among the five of you." She concluded. "If it's okay, I mean."

"I'm cool with it," I stated while everyone else agreed. "But who gets which dragon?"

"I've already thought this through. Each dragon will go with someone whose personality matched theirs the best. So for you," she turned to Astrid, "you would like a dragon that's protective and good in battle. I give you Rainbow, the Changewing." The colorful dragon hobbled towards her new rider. "Rainbow has her acid that is a powerful weapon and she can camouflage into any background. Not to mention that she could hypnotize her enemies if they are pinned down. I thought you two were the perfect match."

It surprised me how much Adira had thought this through.

"Rainbow is perfect, thank you Adira." Astrid smiled thankfully.

"Snotlout," she faced the dark-haired figure, "you seem to like dragons that can be destructive when needed. That's why I'm giving you Hurricane." Snotlout started to object about the Thunderdrum. "But don't worry, he's trained only to roar when necessary."

"In that case, welcome to your new temporary home." Snotlout invited and went off to introduce Hurricane to Hookfang.

"Fishlegs, I'm giving you Bluesky. Bluesky is a very relaxed and laid-back dragon, and he will not object to your 'meditation garden'. But that doesn't mean he isn't good in combat. His hot puff of air can melt almost anything, just like Meatlug's lava. I think you guys will be a perfect team." Adira explained to Fishlegs.

"Oh Meatlug, a new friend! I'm sure you'll get along great. Thank you so much, Adira!" Fishlegs called as he ran to meet Bluesky with Meatlug at his side.

"Hiccup, you're with Ruby. I thought that you had the exact same clever personalities, with a hint of sarcasm on the side." She glanced at Hiccup, "no offense."

"None taken. Thanks, Adira." Hiccup said.

"So Melanite and Nightflash are taking Iris, leaving Magnet and Snowspirit," Adira told me. "I'll house Magnet because I have the least amount of metal objects in my house."

      "Hey!" Magnet protested.

"Yeah, yeah, our personalities match too, I'm not going into detail about it." Adira rolled her eyes. "Crystal you get Snowspirit because two ice dragons are better than one, right?"

"Right." I answered. "I appreciate you doing this, Adira. I know seven dragons are quite a handful and you are still taking on two to spare them from the twins' misery, but thinking of the whole personality thing with the other riders must've been hard. I'm glad you thought it all out, instead of giving us random dragons."

"It was no problem." She responded, grabbing the sleeve of my shirt and tugging me toward the clubhouse. "Come on, I have something to show you."

A/N: Hey there! Seems like a filler, but it's NOT! Ha, I'm so proud. Anyway, yeah this idea of the Dragon Distribution (say that ten times fast. Dragon Distribution, Dragon Distribution, Dragon Distribution, Dragon Distribsiajdoa, yeah I messed up) will be VERY important later on. It may even save a life or two. Or three. Or four or five or six or seven or eight. Oops, I'm a spoiler. Okay, I'll go now. Bye!
