Chapter Ten ~ Mr. Screaming Death (EDITED)

A/N: Wow, hard to believe I'm on Chapter 10 already. Anyway, the point of this Author's Note is to announce the character contest winner! Congratulations to little_munchkin__ for PMing me your incredible character, Luna! Here's the description;

Gender: Female
Looks: Shoulder length dirty blonde hair. She has normal-sized blue eyes, is fairly short and very lean.
Dragon Type: Grapple Grounder
Dragon Looks: Mainly red with yellow and orange rings scattered down his back
Dragon Name: Sunset
Weapon of Choice: Mace

For those of you who don't know what a Grapple Grounder looks like, there's a picture of Sunset (and Luna) to the side or above. And let me tell you, it looks sick. Anyway, on with the chapter!

Crystal

      We sat in silence for what seemed like centuries. Rephrase: the dragons and Riders sat in silence while Adira and I were having a telepathic conversation.

      So do you think we'll see Aster or the Screaming Death? Adira's voice echoed in my head. I mentally chuckled.

      Mr. Screaming Death, maybe, but Aster, no. I still can't believe you named the Deathsong after a flower. I thought back.

      Well, you address the Screaming Death like he's your boyfriend's father, so don't complain about me. She countered humorously.

      Boyfriend's father? Really? At least I don't make a dragon that nearly killed you suddenly all sweet and fluffy. I replied sassily.

      And I don't talk to one of the most dangerous dragons out there like he's my alpha. Adira responded.

      I'm not a wolf, and I couldn't think of a name for him. Why don't you think of one?

      Already ahead of you.

      And not after a flower.

      Too late. Mr. Screaming Death is now Mr. Malva. Or just Malva.

      Malva? That's an awful name.

      It's either Malva or nothing.

      Fine then, Mr. Screaming Death it is.

      Malva!

      Mr. Screaming Death!

      MALVA!

      "MR. SCREAMING DEATH!" I accidentally shouted aloud, earning some strange glances from the others.

      "Um, Crystal, who are you talking to?" Ruffnut asked.

      "Adira," I answered very matter-of-factly.

      "Uh, she didn't say anything though." Tuffnut chimed in.

      "She did telepathically."

      "I thought Adira could only do that in Bladewing form." Astrid added.

      "She's Adira, she can do anything," I replied, shooting a look at Adira. She beamed.

      "I've been practicing my magic lately. I'm able to certain things in human form, like talking telepathically and shooting whatever I imagine out of my hands." She explained. Snotlout jumped up.

      "You can shoot stuff out of your hands? Sick!"

      "Ooh, ooh, show us!" Ruffnut demanded.
