Deep within the underground confines of Wall Sina, Adrasteia emerged from the shadows.

"Annie," she spoke coldly, her voice echoing in the dim light. The thick mask she wore, imbued with a special enchantment, altered her voice, ensuring she remained unrecognizable.

"I told you before, I won't be saying anything," the blonde replied, sitting on the cold ground, her chains clinking as she shifted uncomfortably.

Adrasteia clicked her tongue in frustration. She knew Annie would do everything in her power to protect her secrets; it was her way of safeguarding her father.

"Who are you? I was told I wasn't allowed to have any visitors aside from the Commanders," Annie said, her eyes narrowing as she scrutinized Adrasteia from head to toe.

Instead of answering, Adrasteia simply observed the restrained figure before her. Annie was trapped in a small cell, the chains binding her limiting any chance of escape.

Thanks to her abilities, she had altered the minds of the guards on duty, making it easy for her to slip in undetected.

With the chaos in Wall Rose, most of the Military Police were occupied tending to the citizens, leaving the path clear for her infiltration.

"You know, I never got to talk to you, even from before," Adrasteia started. "How does it feel to never be able to return back home?"

Annie remained silent.

"You know, if you cooperate with them, it would be easier for you. There will be no bloodshed in your homeland."

Annie stood up, her heart racing.

"Did Marley send you?!" she asked.

Adrasteia laughed. "Ah, Marley. To answer your question, no. I despise that country with my whole heart."

Annie's expression shifted, a flicker of confusion breaking through her defensiveness. "Then why are you here? What do you want?"

"Nothing," Adrasteia replied, a smirk playing at the corners of her lips. "I just enjoy this sight. Don't worry, your fellow warriors will join you soon. I'm going to make sure of it."

A wave of fear washed over Annie, her heart racing as she processed the implications of Adrasteia's words.

"You know," Adrasteia continued, her voice low and chilling, "your people should be wary of the enemies they've made. It could very well be their downfall."

As those words hung in the air, the tension in the room thickened. Annie's eyes widened, and a cold realization settled in. She felt the weight of Adrasteia's hidden threat, each syllable laced with a warning.

Without waiting for a response, Adrasteia turned on her heel, her cloak swirling around her as she strode toward the dark cell's exit. "You'd do well to think carefully about your next moves, Annie," she called back over her shoulder, her voice dripping with menace. "I wouldn't want your stubbornness to cost you more than you're willing to lose."

Annie clenched her fists, a mix of anger and fear coursing through her. She wanted to shout, to demand answers, but the dread pooling in her gut silenced her.

"Remember, I'll be watching," Adrasteia added, her tone now almost casual, but the underlying threat was unmistakable. "Don't think for a second that you can hide from the consequences of your choices."

With that, she disappeared into the shadows, leaving Annie alone in the dim light, breathless and shaken.

The implications of the encounter loomed heavily over her, a storm of uncertainty swirling in her mind.
