"Would you like anything miss?" the maid asked the woman but she didn't get any answer

"Miss?" the maid asked once again but the younger refused to say a word.

"Chaeryeong, she is asking you" Mr. Lee said sternly, looking at his child.

Being the stubborn daughter that she is, she ignores them, and continues to scroll through her phone.

"LEE CHAERYEONG!" Mr. Lee scolded her and slammed his hands on the table, startling everyone in the dining area.

"Can't you just leave me alone for once dad?" Chaeryeong asked, annoyed by her father.

"The maid has been asking you if what do you want to have for breakfast, you are supposed to answer" Mr. Lee said

"I don't want anything for breakfast okay?!" Chaeryeong said, raising her voice

"That's it, to your room now" Mr. Lee said and Chaeryeong groans.

"And leave your phone here" Mr. Lee added and Chaeryeong puts her phone on the table and goes to her room. She couldn't believe that even she was in her early 20s, she still needs to stay in her father's house and to live by his rules.

As usual, she goes to grab something from the bookshelves in her room and grabs a book that she had, there were only a few since she rarely gets to buy some.

She gets it and goes to her small couch, starts reading and not minding the time or anything around her.

"Don't bring her anything to eat unless she comes down and tells you what she wants. That stubborn child" Mr. Lee said as he finished his food. He then stands up from his seat, got ready and grabs his things before leaving the house.

"Should we really just leave her alone?" one of the maids asked

"We can't do anything about it, Mr. Lee had put cctv cameras around the house, even one is directly pointing to her room" the other said and they sighed. They wanted Chaeryeong to eat, they knew that she definitely wanted something for breakfast but of course, they need to follow their boss.

In Chaeryeong's room, she's busy reading the book and she seems to enjoy it a lot. She was almost near to the climax of the story, not until she was interrupted by a knock on the door.

"Who is it?" Chaeryeong asked as she puts down the book and goes over to the door.

"Ms. Chaeryeong, its for you" she heard and she opens the door slowly and sees one of the maids with a phone on their hand.

"It's Ms. Choi" the maid said and Chaeryeong nodded

"Thank you Serin" Chaeryeong said and then takes the phone and closes the door. It was the house phone, so it can be used by anyone only for calls or messages.

"Hello?"

"Let me guess, your dad got your phone again?"

"What else could've happen unnie" Chaeryeong chuckles

"So let me get this straight, you're already 23, finished college, got a Master of Business Administration, obviously capable on living on your own and  you're still living at your father's house, following his rules and still get grounded?"

"Yep, that's my life" Chaeryeong said and chuckled bitterly

"You know what, let's go out, I'm sure you need it already."
