Later that night, Chaeryeong was alone in the room, Yeji was in her office and she didn't want to disturb or annoy the younger once more.
Chaeryeong felt bad, she didn't know why she suddenly slapped Yeji and even yelled at her.
She looks around the room and notices a bag on the coffee table they had in the room. She walks towards it and checks what's inside, she sees a piece of paper.
Hi Chaeryeong, I know you're mad at me but I just noticed that you didn't had a phone, I bought you one just a while ago. Do use this one if you want to. Also, here's my number in case you ever need it; (Yeji's Number) and here is Yubin and Seyoung's number (Their number)
Chaeryeong carefully gets the phone box inside of the paper bag and then opens it, it was the latest version so she sets it up immediately, the first thing she did was put on the contacts that she knows. After doing so, she debated if she needs to put Yeji's contact.
Since she couldn't decide immediately, she calls Lia instead, wanting to talk to her about what happened.

"Chaery, it's too late already"
"Sorry unnie, just wanna talk to you about something. Did I woke you up?"
"Not really, me and Ryujin just finished a movie, why?"
"I feel bad"
"What happened?"
"Remember that I stormed off a while ago at the mall?"
"Mhm, Yeji went after you, she was worried"
"Yeah, well, but when she got me and held my hand, I suddenly slapped her on the cheek"
"You what?"
"I slapped her unnie, I didn't mean to" Chaeryeong was now tearing up
"Hey, hey, it's alright, I'm sure Yeji knows you didn't mean to do it"
"I feel so horrible, I slapped her, I... I don't know why. I just felt annoyed, I felt so annoyed that she always checks up on me. She has been like that ever since I got here"
"Don't tell me you're homophobic"
"I'm not unnie, how could I when I know you're engaged to a girl?"
"Anyways, Chaery, don't you like it that Yeji is acting caring towards you?"
"W-what?"
"Gosh, I now know why you act that way. Your father has always been so harsh on you that you never felt being cared or loved"
"What do you mean unnie?"
"I mean, Yeji is just being caring towards you, she's taking care of you. Is this all new to you?"
"I... I'm not-"
"What does she actually do when you two are home?"
"The first time I was here, I mean, the first morning, when I woke up, she wrote me a short note and then called me Darling..... she also checked on me when I was eating the first time we met, then, today" Chaeryeong said as she wipes off her tears.
"Oh Chaery, I now feel so bad that you grew up with only your dad. Don't worry, I'm sure you'll get used to it"
"I hope so"
"So where's Yeji?"
"I, I don't know, I haven't seen her ever since we got home"
"Hmm, you two should talk, and I don't know how you keep those scars hidden from her, you have red wounds on your neck, she still didn't notice?"
"I wear turtle necks, I don't want her to know Lia unnie"
"But she has to know"
"Not now unnie, maybe soon"
"Okay, just call me whenever you need me okay?"
"Yes unnie, thank you so much"
"No problem Chaery"

They ended the call and Chaeryeong sighs, she puts the phone down. Being a little bit worried, she decided to check on the older. She goes out of the room to find for Yeji.
She walks to the hallway and suddenly, Yubin was there.
"Miss, why are still up? you should be sleeping now" Yubin said in a worried tone
"I, um couldn't sleep" Chaeryeong said
"Do you want me to call for Miss Yeji? maybe she could help you to fall asleep?" Yubin suggested
"No need, umm, but where is she?" Chaeryeong asked
"She's in her office, I'll show you where" Yubin said with a smile
Chaeryeong then followed Yubin and they were now in front of the office.
"You can go in maam, I'm sure Miss Yeji doesn't mind" Yubin said with a smile and then left.
Chaeryeong takes a deep breath and then gently knocks on the door.
"Come in" she heard and she then opens the door.
"Oh, C-Chaeryeong, why are you still awake? you should be resting now" Yeji said, a tone of worry in her voice
Chaeryeong stood there, looking at Yeji. She felt awful as soon as she saw the red mark on Yeji's cheek, it was still hurting probably.
"I was, just wondering where you were" Chaeryeong said softly
"Sorry, I just have some work to do, well, do you need anything?" Yeji asked as she stood up and walked towards the younger.
"N-No, I don't need anything" Chaeryeong said
"Are you sure?" Yeji asked and Chaeryeong nodded
"Okay, I have to work on some papers first and I'll go to sleep, you go get some rest first" Yeji said and led the younger back to the room.
As Chaeryeong was now seated on the bed, she looked at Yeji.
"Your cheek" she muttered
"Oh, it's alright, don't worry much about me" Yeji said and chuckled
"I...I'm sorry" Chaeryeong said, she felt like crying.
"Chaeryeong, it's okay, I forgive you. It didn't hurt me that much and nothing bad happened to you right?" Yeji asked and Chaeryeong just nodded
"Okay, go on an rest, I have to finish some work" Yeji said
"Goodnight Chaeryeong" Yeji said
"Goodnight"
Yeji then leaves the room and Chaeryeong lays on the bed, tries to fall asleep
Yeji got finished at midnight, she stretched her arms and then stood up. She walks to the room and sees that Chaeryeong was already asleep, the duvet covering her up until her shoulders.
Yeji smiled, at least the younger was comfortable already.
She caressed the younger's cheeks gently, not wanting to wake her up.
"Goodnight darling" Yeji said softly and then kissed the younger's forehead.
She goes to the couch and drifts off to sleep.
