A week later, the two weren't super close. They both signed the contract and of course, Chaeryeong was now Hwang Chaeryeong.
Yeji was being more caring and a little bit touchy towards the younger, as if it was natural for her already. Chaeryeong found it weird at first but the more that Yeji has been affectionate to her, the more she was used to it.
"Chaeryeong~" Yeji called
"Hmm?" Chaeryeong hummed and put her head up to look at Yeji who was walking towards her on the bed. Chaeryeong was reading a book after all.
"I got to go to work now, are you sure you don't want to come along?" Yeji asked as she fixes her blazer.
"Yeah, I'm fine" Chaeryeong said
"Okay, If you ever plan to go out with Lia today, you can use my card on top of the drawer, also message me wherever you're going" Yeji reminded
"I will, don't worry" Chaeryeong said
"Hmm, I'll worry about you all day. Well, I got to go now, bye Chaery" Yeji said and then kissed the top of her head before leaving.
Chaeryeong couldn't help but smile as soon as Yeji kissed the top of her head and even caressed her hair.
After a while, she was already smiling like an idiot.
"Ah yah! Why am I acting this way?!" Chaeryeong whined and covered her face with a pillow, screaming onto it.
But then, someone rushed inside of the room.
"Miss, I heard screaming, are you okay?!" Seyoung asked worriedly
"I.... I'm okay" Chaeryeong said and sighed, feeling slightly embarrassed.
"Thank god, Miss Yeji would kill me if something ever happens to you" Seyoung said in relief.
"Don't hesitate to call any of us Miss, we'll be at the kitchen" Seyoung said and Chaeryeong just nodded.
Seyoung left and Chaeryeong decided to get ready for the day. After taking a bath, she wore a simple dress and then dried her hair. She was about to go back to the bed to continue reading not until she heard a knock on the door.
She went towards the door and opened it, here eyes widened upon seeing a woman.
"Oh my gosh, I'm sorry" the woman said
"I-It's okay miss" Chaeryeong said
The woman looked at Chaeryeong, specifically her face.
"You must be Chaeryeong" the woman said with a smile
"Yes Miss" Chaeryeong said softly
"Gosh, my daughter definitely has a gorgeous wife. I'm Yeji's mom, nice to finally meet you dear" Eomma Hwang said with a smile
"Nice to meet you too..."
"Just call me Hwang eomma, or eomma. Well, of course if it's fine with you" Hwang eomma said with a sweet smile and Chaeryeong felt warm.
"It's okay Hwang eomma" Chaeryeong finally said
"I see that Yeji is not here today, so why don't we spend the rest of the day together? I'm sure you want to know lots of things about Yeji" Hwang eomma said as she led Chaeryeong to the living room.
"So, how are you doing here? Is Yeji always working? Sorry if my daughter is always busy, her father actually passed to her one of the companies, now she's the one handling it" Hwang eomma said as the two of them sat down.
"Well, she is working most of the time but she gets home early, she umm, actually checks up on me every time before going to work" Chaeryeong said with a smile
