52 | the night shall rise.

sooyoung made it to the penthouse on the 126th floor extremely fast. it was dark, the place was filled with spider webs, and candles lit up a table in the centre of the living room. that is where her count was.

count jeong jaehyun was a little different from his vampire friend, count dong sicheng. he was not going to be the king of the vampires, but he had a higher title in the hierarchy of the ghouls.

and, he was the count that stole sooyoung's heart. the moment he stopped her in the lobby, holding a brand new bag from the boo-tique sooyoung loved, she had to go up and give him an echanting kiss.

after all, she was an amazing witch, that was taught to take care of the men she loved. if they hurt her, she would turn them into lovely frogs. sooyoung could still hear the way her former boyfriend jumped, around the pond.

" my bewitching princess, i was expecting for you to come and meet me. " jaehyun got up from his seat, walking up to sooyoung. the ridiculous outfit jaehyun was wearing made sooyoung laugh, but she immediately played it off.

" it is a pleasure to get to see you, love. " sooyoung replied to jaehyun, displaying a lovely smile on her face. she allowed him to take her hand and place a soft kiss on her hand. though, his fangs immediately dug into her skin, making her remove her hand.

" i apologize, i did not mean to cause your hand to bleed. " jaehyun took her hand back, placing another kiss on it. this time, he was careful not to hurt her. " would you like some dinner ? i made sure my gnome-maids made some delicious food. "

sooyoung nodded. he walked her over to the table, pulling the chair for her. sooyoung sent him a flying kiss, extremely happy with the way jaehyun treated her. he was, truly, a gorgeous ghoul, that loved her like no other.

" my gorgeous nightmare, what have you done today ? " jaehyun asked, as the two sat opposite of eachother. a gnome-maid came towards sooyoung, placing a cup of tea on the table. " i know you enjoy drinking one or two of those. "

" ah, thank you. i was actually feeling a little cold, as it is getting chilly here. the humans.. they call this fall ? and halloween ? " sooyoung asked, hearing that jaehyun began laughing. " they are so.. amusing, in a way. "

jaehyun had to agree with her, as it was extremely ridiculous what these useless humans were doing the time where outside was cold. halloween. such concept was stupid, the whole celebration of what they liked to call monsters.

" oh, whatever those do makes no sense. " jaehyun replied, " you are very right, it is cold. if you want, i can ask one of the gnome-maids to put some more wood, and make the place a little warmer. " he suggested, with sooyoung nodding.

jaehyun usually lived in the cold, and sooyoung had to admit that she did not enjoy it. however, she had to get past it, because she loved jaehyun more than anyone else. a little cold was not going to kill her.

" how were you, my love ? i feel as if we have not had the time to talk recently. " sooyoung asked jaehyun, who looked up. he smiled, playing with the ring on his finger. sooyoung kept wondering, when was he going to get her a ring ?
