Request! Tsukishima-like reader x Sugawara Koushi

"Here's to our Captain's happiness!" Tanaka cheered. Everyone cheered and patted Daichi on the back. Sugawara can't help but to smile with pride, watching his best friend finally meet the love of his life, (opt.name)

The reception was very small since only the team and Daichi's wife's friends were invited. The reception was held in their humble home, right in the backyard. The backyard was lit with fairy lights and soft music was played.

Sugawara got a chance to catch up with the team. Kageyama and Hinata were busy with their college volleyball team and they barely had a chance to actually think about a relationship. Tsukishima came back from studying abroad with Yamaguchi, grumpy as ever. Tanaka and Nishinoya were loud and cheerful as ever while Asahi was sweet and shy as usual.

Sugawara never felt such happiness surging through him as he watched his friends grow. Such a mama crow. "Ne, when is Suga-sempai getting a girlfriend?" Hinata pipped.

Kageyama lightly smacked his head, scolding him. Sugawara blushed. Everyone was now watching him. Daichi even stopped cooing over his adorable wife. "Well..you see..I was busy myself I haven't gotten a chance to actually think about establishing a relationship," he smiled.

Daichi waved it off and started bringing out wine and champagne.

As the night went on, Sugawara sighed. He was the driver for Tanaka and Nishinoya tonight so no drinks. He stood on the side, sipping his iced tea contently. "Party got to you?" a voice asked.

He turned and almost choked on his drink. There in front of him was the maid of honor, K. She was somewhat similar to Tsukishima, only feminine and much nicer, from what he has heard. K was extremely protective of (opt.name).

He noticed how she was very pretty, her bright eyes, curvy figure..He lightly shook his head. "Maybe..I guess I'm just a bit tired from my classes," he said.

K didn't seemed so convinced but she let it pass. As the night drone on, Sugawara couldn't help but to be so captivated. 

She was indeed similar to Tsukishima yet on the softer side. She was great company and he was falling so deep. 

K bid him goodnight as she stepped into her car, driving away in the night. Sugawara struggled with Nishinoya and Tanaka into the backseat and drove away.

Sugawara adjusted his backpack straps as he climbed the University stairs. He remembered K clearly like it was just minutes ago. Her eyes, her figure, her voice...God he was in love. 

He sighed and gently massaged his temples. 2 weeks ago was the reception yet this crush was getting to him. He didn't watch where he was going so he bumped into a small figure. 

"Oh, I'm sorry!" he aplogized. But his eyes widen as he saw who it was. 

K brushed off her butt as she stood up. Except, she wasn't the girl he saw last night. Instead, it was a girl with glasses and sweatshirts, hair in a bun. Her books tucked into her arms. "Geez, are you blind?" she snapped. 

But she shut her mouth once she saw him. Her face almost erupted into flames. "Nice to see you here," Sugawara smiled. 

K looked away. She couldn't help but to feel her heart racing against her will. "I guess.."

"Would you like to walk together to lunch sometime?"Sugawara asked. His mouth was running off again. 

Except, he was greeted with a small smile graced apoun the lovely lady. "Yes..I would like that."

As weeks turn to months, Sugawara felt himself understanding Daichi now. Love was certainly a strange thing. He learned that K was part of the volleyball team and played wing spiker. 

K invited him frequently to her practice and had Sugawara practice his setting with her. He also learned that she happened to have great taste in music and brought him to open-mic night to the cafe she worked at. 

Sugawara invited her to many luncheons, which turned into dinners..then brunch and breakfast. They were now close knit and Sugawara felt his heart beginning to burst. 

As they walked home one night, skin brushing skin, hearts beating against their chests, not one word was exchanged the whole way. But before K could enter her apartment, Sugawara stopped her gently. "Is something wrong?" K asked. 

Sugawara gulped and looked down. "I..I'm..I think I love you," he gently whispered. 

K's eyes widen but they were gentle. She gently took his hands into hers and smiled back, one of her rare smiles. "I think I love you too."
