Ignorance is bliss, or so you thought. College in New York has been even more amazing than you could've imagined. It was hard at first, being in a new city without anyone you knew. You were going through it, questioning whether or not you made the right decision. But after spending time with your roommates and meeting your current friend group, you didn't know how you got so lucky. Although it's only been a month, you feel like you've been pushed out of your comfort zone and are experiencing a new side of yourself.

But still, even though you were having the time of your life, you missed the other part of your life that you left in LA and Boston. The triplets were always in the back of your head, you constantly wished that you were having as much fun as you were with them by your side. You always felt some piece of you missing in everything you did. You've been texting Chris a lot, but for some reason, you felt like Matt was being distant. He hadn't been answering your texts as much and he wasn't answering your calls either. You were worried that he was regretting everything that had happened the weeks before you left. You did your best not to think about it, blaming tour and their busy schedules. But if that was the case how come Chris was texting you? Today was the day you were hoping to get some answers because ignoring all of your thoughts was beginning to drive you insane.

You are currently pulling up to the tour venue for the triplet's show in New Jersey. You were running a bit late due to school but still managed to grab an Uber and get to the venue before the start of the show. Jack and Luke were planning on meeting up with you after practice so that they could finally meet the boys as well. Before you could even take two steps out of the car, you had someone running at you.

"Y/N/N," Madi attacked you in a hug.

"HI MADS, I MISSED YOU," You said, giving her a big squeeze. "I'm sorry I'm late, my class ran over,"

"No, it's okay. Come on, the boys are getting ready to go on stage so you'll only have a few minutes to say hi," Madi grabbed your hand and dragged you inside.

You walked into the green room to find two out of three of the triplets, Matt nowhere to be found. Chris wasted no time in running over to you.

"y/n y/m/n," Chris gave you the biggest hug.

"CHRISTOPHER," You returned the hug.

"Stop hogging her! Hi y/n/n," Nick said, hugging you as well.

"Oh, I missed you guys," You said, feeling a bit better after getting good reactions from them. Suddenly, Matt came into the room, not noticing you as he was clearly in a rush.

"We have to get out there, come on," He paused once he noticed you, his emotions unreadable.

"We'll meet you backstage!" Nick said, dragging Chris out of the room.

"Hi," You said with a small smile, opening your arms to hug him, hoping that you were just imagining the way he'd been acting towards you the past few weeks. He hugged you but was tense and brushed you off to follow his brothers. Your heart and stomach sank. Madi looked just as confused as you did.

"Is he okay?" You asked, trying not to be offended.

"I think so? He usually gets a bit nervous before going on stage so maybe it's that," Madi said, shrugging. You nodded, praying that this was all some misunderstanding.
