"So, uh," Dan started, rubbing the back of his neck. "We didn't really have time - or room - to have a bedroom for you, so uh-" He said, stuttering.
I smiled at him, trying to tell him it's okay. My condition is really weird. I have started to walk pretty well, with help, but my speaking and memory isn't great. I can write and spell fine, but it's just my physical qualities that need serious work. I pushed my glasses up and looked around.
"Alright look," Dan said, turning towards me, "I'm going to be honest. I've never done this before, and if I'm a little weird, just know I'm trying. This was my wife's dying wish, that I would raise a child for her, and I am going to fulfill her wish. So, yeah." He said all of that in one breath.
My smile faded. Of course. I know I am disabled.,
