A new life for a new problem

Chapter 19

"Are you part of this organization?" It was Rosalyn who asked, she still hadn't had an answer about his presence and didn't know the young master, it was easier for her.

"Excuse me, but if I understood correctly you are talking about a terrorist organization and you accuse my brother of being part of it?" Basen asked just to confirm that he had followed the conversation but couldn't believe what his brother was being accused of. How could she think that?!

"Yes, they are responsible for a good number of terrible actions and the young master Cale seems to know a lot about them. How can we not ask ourselves the question?" Her accusing gaze was on the young master who still hadn't answered the accusation.

"So what, there must be other explanations! Ron tell him, you spent most of your time with my brother." Basen turned, asking the butler for help.

"Well, yes I have to agree with the young master." The butler readily agreed.

"Oh come on you can't always be with him, there are many times when he went out alone." Rosalyn frowned, she was getting impatient.

Ron became silent, during Cale's trashy episodes, the young man did indeed go out alone but never further than the inn in the county village.

"Cale?" Basen addressed his brother, who wasn't looking at them. He couldn't believe for a second, that he was guilty of anything.

Cale was actually desperately trying to find a real reason, one that could justify his information without incriminating him. "I can't tell you how I got all this information but I can assure you that I'm not part of the organization."

"Do you really think we can take your word for it? Especially with your past." She got several black glares with her words, but she ignored it confused.

"I can't tell you anything else but I can make a death wish to prove to you that I'm not lying."

He could see Basen and Ron pale at that.

Choi Han was just confused. "What is a death wish?"

"It's a wish that uses the energy of the god of death, if a person makes their wish and goes against it, they die instantly." Ron explained it to everyone to see Choi Han pale in turn and the little dragon get agitated.

"You don't have to do it Cale-nim..." Choi Han didn't want to risk someone's life for this, he already knew that the young master was a good person. No matter how he knew this information, he didn't want to know anymore.

"Death wishes are dangerous but..." Rosalyn thought about the proposition, she could trust him with that but even the fact that he proposed something that could get him killed on the spot just to prove that he had no connection with the organization had already slightly reassured her about the young master's intentions.

"No no, there is no way you're doing that!" Of course Basen rejected him vehemently.

Cale was confused by their refusal even Rosalyn who he had just met didn't accept right away, what was the problem? He frowned before trying once more. "They plan to cause a terrorist incident in the capital on the king's birthday, can you still believe me?"

He could see his brother nodding. He looked at Ron to ask for his answer before looking away to look at Choi han instead who seemed to be thinking about something.

"Does Rosalyn and Lock's presence have anything to do with this incident?" 

Now Cale was confused again, why did Choi Han suddenly change the subject? In front of Cale's lack of response, Choi Han continued.

"Have you planned something to save the people present during the incident?" Stars had appeared in the swordsman's eyes, he remembered all the good deeds of the young master since their meeting. He could only think of this conclusion.

Well now the looks on Cale changed, the princess seemed less suspicious and the others had moved on to something closer to admiration. Except Ron who simply looked at Cale waiting for his answer.

"Maybe but that's not the subject-"

"No need to make wishes I trust you." Choi Han interrupted the young master still as confused.

Cale looked at his butler hoping that he would say something sensible.

"Young master we already had this conservation their from your last outing, if you need my help with something like that, don't hesitate to ask." Ron seemed to want to scold him but not for the reasons he thought.

"I could help you too..." A weaker voice came into his mind, even the dragon who was afraid of humans seemed to agree with that.

"What?! " That was all Cale could think about, why everyone was acting this way, taking a stranger's word for it when he knows everything about the actions of a clearly evil organization. Are these people all crazy?

"I agree with that too." Even the princess finally agreed. Cale simply stopped understanding them and nodded.

For Ron and Basen, it was simple, it had been too long since anyone believed in the young man and that was the reason for his poor health. They couldn't think of what the young master could do if he was left alone. Choi Han, for his part, had been able to see the things the young master had done and was the first person to help him since the incident with his village, he couldn't risk him getting hurt or dying for such a stupid thing. Rosalyn had learned to trust the swordsman and she had been able to see the young master's actions for herself, she could put her suspicious feelings aside for now.

"Well now that you're all in agreement, what do you plan to do?"

Cale sighed at Rosalyn's question before explaining to them what he knew about the incident and what he planned to do. In the end everyone was pretty much on board with his plan except for one part.

"Do you really have to be in the square, you could use the rumor about your condition and I could stay with you to heal you." Basen offered not really agreeing to see his brother surrounded by bombs.

"I think young master Basen is right, it would be best for you to stay here." Ron of course agreed with Basen.

"No, I have to be there in case something goes wrong." He firmly refused, he must be there to have control of the situation and see everything.

"But-"

"No." Cale refused, not wanting to hear any more about it.

Basen finally gave up, but not without one last threat. "Okay, but don't forget what your father said. The next time you get hurt, you'll have to go back to the county."

Now that that was resolved, Rosalyn and Choi han left to go see how Lock was doing. Basen needed time to think about all this. So there was only Cale, Ron and a small dragon left. The young master ignored them all to lie down in his bed and take a little nap to recover from this long conversation before the next problem presented itself to him.
