With the help of a mage, he managed to reach the square. He was able to slip into the crowd of commoners, he had put on the black cape he had taken with him to hide his garish hair. He was a little further than he would have liked but he had a perfect view of the situation. The Clock Tower was clearly visible, and he could to notice the crowd of nobles in front of him even if he was too far away to distinguish his brother or his friends.
He could read the time 8:55. Another 5 minutes, and the attack was going to begin. He looked around a little to see if he could find Choi Han's group among the crowd but there were too many people.
9:00 AM. Cale watched as masked figures appeared on the clock tower as planned. The king reacted, but they didn't seem to mind. With a maniacal laugh from the blood mage that Cale recognized, the bombs exploded. Or almost, according to their plan, they flew into the sky and exploded without causing any damage. Thanks to this, he now knew where a part of Choi Han's group was, he had spotted Lock and Rosalyn. Ron, Beacrox, and Choi Han couldn't have been far away, they were simply hidden in the crowd. Only, his family and friends were still missing. It didn't matter, the attack seemed over-
"This one was a failure."
Cale's blood ran cold at those words, he saw two people jump from the bell tower surrounded by red mana and with a bag on their backs. From what he had heard from the mage, this was clearly not good and they were heading towards the nobles and the royal family.
Without thinking further, he used his shield power to contain the first man who was going towards the nobles.
Then, a lot of things happened at the same time:
The little black dragon had reacted to the presence of the power he knew and he was currently speaking in his head. Something like, "Hello, human, what are you doing here? Do you need help? No, I'll help you, you can't get hurt again!"
The people around him rushed to the far corners of the square, aggressively pushing him. He would have fallen if Rosalyn hadn't appeared next to him.
"What are you doing here?" Of course, she recognized him too. Her hood had flown off with all the commotion. By chance, she had changed the color of her hair before that happened. He thanked her with a nod in her direction and then the bomb exploded.

Basen had been stressed since he had been present in the square, but he managed to convince himself somehow that everything was going to be okay. It did but only for a few minutes before everything went chaotic. The first bombs were stopped as planned while the other two were not planned and were coming straight at him. Suddenly, a silver shield appeared and a childish voice shouted at him that his brother was here to help them and that he would also support him with his own shield.
"What?" He voiced his confusion out loud. Luckily for him, everyone was too panicked to notice anything. Even Eric and the others who were currently trying to find a way out of here. He could feel Amiru tugging at his arm to follow her, he didn't really have a choice so he did it. He just hoped his brother wouldn't get hurt. Then the bombs exploded.

Cale's side.
It took a few minutes for Cale to regain his bearings after the explosion that seemed to resonate through his body. He felt some pain and could see that his hands were burnt, his skin was red and slightly cracked. Fortunately, the power seemed to have understood that he shouldn't intervene to heal him, so he would have to take care of it himself later. His chest as always was painful after using the old powers, he winced slightly as he moved.
Rosalyn, who was still beside him, quickly asked if he was all right.
"Yes, can you take me back to the Henituse estate in the capital? I'd like not to be seen."
