Esmerelda and Charlie Roan were half siblings Esmerelda being the older of the two being just turned seventeen (timeline of season 1) and Charlie was still fifteen.
Being the youngest in his year and out of all his friends was a little annoying being the youngest out of everyone and also the younger brother of Esmerelda who was the 'it' girl of the school she ass popular and was friends with Yasmine and her clang.
He hated it so much, luckily for him he stayed with his dad so he didn't have to see her often apart from at school and things however all his friends in the past have always ended up ditching him for her.
He was closeted gay well, he was out to a few friends and close family but he didn't go out broadcasting it to the whole school that would be hell.
Esmerelda was a sweet girl really, she just hung around the wrong group of people and she did care for Charlie she just had a really bad way of showing it and he made it worse not even trying to have a relationship with her they had the same mum but different dads and when their mum and Charlie's dad split when Charlie was about eight he chose to live with his dad.
And their mum ended up getting back with Esmerelda father.
