The couples are Madelyn and Calum, Rowena and Luke, Jaelynn and Ashton, Meilani and Michael, and Kamila and Justin.
The boys grew up in Australia but moved to L.A. after their career took off. But soon they each met a lovely girl and moved to Seattle with the girls.

Madelyn, Jaelynn, and Rowena are all half Lao which is the main nationality in Laos, which is a country in Asia. Meilani and Kamila have a step dad who is full Lao, and also is Madelyn, Jaelynn, and Rowena's uncle.
The boys have a year vacation off since they had back to back tours, but they have one meeting a month.
All of the girls are cousins so they see each other often.
The girls have family nicknames they call each other. Madelyn's are Maddie or Mae Mae, Jaelynn's are Jae Jae or Jae, Rowena's is Ena, Meilani's is Mei Mei or Mei, and Kamila's is Mila.
A lot of the words will seem weird because their grandparents speak Lao and broken English.
The girls call their grandparents Tao.
Madelyn and Jaelynn have the same Tao but Rowena doesn't.
Meilani and Kamila don't call their grandparents Tao.
Ma Tao is grandma, Yong Tao is grandpa.
Aim means uncle.
Ma means aunt.
