There are those times
When you don't feel like yourself at all
So you start to draw imaginary lines
That you think will break the wall
That you built around yourself
But all you're really doing is increasing the damage
Those lines you call "standards" do nothing but ravage
Your own peace
You've got to realize that you can't do things the way you used to
Because who you were yesterday is not who you are today
And that's not something to be ashamed of
You're changing; it means you're growing
So embrace your new self
And be proud of how far you've run
