People see what they want to see
And hear what they want to hear
They prefer to see life the way they believe it is
Instead of seeing it for what it actually is
So to witness a single candle of truth
Among all that darkness
Shouldn't be described as just "smooth"
But as a spreading brightness
So even if no one believes in you
Believe in yourself
Cause you see, they insist on focusing on their shrewd beliefs
Even if they're not right
Sometimes, they might just get under your skin
When that happens, remember that their pride is their sin
