I knew him. Him who knew my worst, been there for me. I love him. He loves me.

I want him. He wants me. I need him. He doesn't need me.

Suffering in pain.

Waiting for the end.

It comes. I'm not ready...Please

Sigma...

Texas' POV

"Texas, how are you feeling? You okay? You haven't said a thing since we ended up here." Eden asked me. I looked away, not meeting her eye. She continued to look at me, intent for an answer. I still stood there, silent, unmoving. I thought back to Riot...my cheeks started burning.

"Riot, isn't it?" She smirked. I furrowed my brow, shaking my head at the same time. "I wish...but he's coming, isn't he? Is he?!" I kept saying...Eden just turned away, chuckling. I looked down at my rifle, A Designated Assisted Alternative Sniper Rifle-50 (DAASR-50). I carried a Winchester Model 1887 rifle as well, for short ranged engagements. My armor allowed me to carry the rifle as well the sniper with little ease.

I had no pistol, which was uncommon was me, while Gamma helped me to carry my mace. He held two different maces, his being bigger. I searched the corners of the building, being the dank, dark place it was, it would be too dark for other people to see anything. i had trained during the night with Scythe for night shooting, now I was adept in seeing in the dark.

Eden's POV

What the hell...the ceiling is caving in...Is there anyone? I reasoned that the roof was just rusted and old, just the rest of this place. I still felt that we were being watched. I shook off the feeling and trudged forward. Texas stayed near to Gamma, while I took the rear.

Suddenly, I launched forward and sliced at the shadowy figure. The figure collapsed, revealing that it was indeed a guard. But he didn't alert us of his presence, and he certainly didn't warn us to drop our weapons. What was he...

"Texas, why did you not see him?" I asked."I...I don't know. He wasn't there at first. Then he suddenly appeared." Texas softly spoke.

"Texas, are you okay? What happened?" Gamma had a face of concern and grasped her shoulder. "I saw...a card. My favorite card. As well as another card. The 2 Of Spades and the Joker. Riot's card and mine. There were two people there, the one behind had the cards."

I stopped in my tracks and whispered, "Sigma..."

"He's here. I'm sure of it. No one else knows that." I said, grudgingly. Fuck, if he's here, that's always a problem. Really, he was the problem. There was no other man more deadlier than him. Well, maybe Fritz Haber...and maybe Hitler. And Stalin. Ok, a lot of people. But they are all dead now. So will Sigma, then he will know the sting of death.

Texas was still relying on Riot to calm her down, she now has her constant nightmares, and Riot is sacrificing time to be with her. I hope he doesn't become the heartbreaker I feared when I met him. Texas is crazy for loving him, that's all I know. I really haven't tried to search for any guy yet, none of the ones I've seen have matched my standards. They're all the same...bravado, muscles and assholes.

I think it's better for me to just stay single for a while. Maybe for the next half a decade or so. Scythe and Texas seem happy though, but I never really found the interest in a relationship with a person of the opposite sex.

I scanned the area, moving slowly, bumping into Gamma. "Hey! Watch where you're stepping, Eden!"

"Sorry, douche...Just scouting." I shot straight at Gamma.
