A fanfictio...
In the room that is only exclusive for someone who owns the place, two people are seen sitting, one on the single couch while the other is on a long couch that is mostly used for conversation purposes, formal or informal.
"Attorney Gong, all I am asking you is please take her, be her teacher or some sort. I need someone to guide her and you're the only one I can see doing it pretty well." A voice with a pleading emotion resonates around the room.
"What's with the sudden training? It's not that she's a graduate of law, so why is she suddenly joining us?" Attorney Gong responded, his curiosity, and perseverance in rejecting her is taking a hold of him. His eyes seem stern, a face with nothing but cold expression along with its gaze.
"It's not that she's partaking in any serious matter, just a simple experience in this field."
"Do you take this firm as a joke? Everyone here is working hard because it's their responsibility. It's their hardships that brought them here in the first place, and now you're allowing a random person to join us in this law firm? No, I wouldn't bother taking her. If that is all you had to say, I'm going now." Known as Attorney Gong stands up from his seat and walks his way towards the door until the founder, the senior of this workplace.
"4 years ago..." Is all the words it takes for him to get back on the couch, however annoyance is definitely visible in his face despite the cold expression.
"When are you gonna stop bringing that up?" He asks with annoyance in his voice.
"Did I say something?" A second of silence follows. His senior sits on his side and extends his arms on his shoulder. "Come on, just accept it. You can treat her as an intern, do whatever you want with her, just let her work here. Please? I'll stop bringing that up." His senior's voice sounded pleading along with gestures as he pulled his arm from his shoulder and clasped it together.
"Under one condition." His voice sounds stern and as if he's done and tired with his senior.
"Sure, whatever that is." His senior replied with a smile as he considers that his junior is accepting his request.
"If she wants to leave, you won't do anything and let her leave."
"Sure!"
Without any words spoken anymore Attorney Gong walks towards the door and leaves the room. His senior meanwhile is enjoying his victory, jumping around the room in such a cheery way, jumping and punching the air as a celebration.
"YES! YES! YES!..."

Rummaging through his laptop, browsing the internet while he tries his best to get as much as possible of the background information about the new person joining the firm in such a short time. He types in the keyboard the name of the person and clicks enter, right immediately his screen is bombarded with articles that are mostly published years ago, no recent event nor information is provided except her IZ*ONE status and early post disbandment. Disappointing as it is, he could only sigh.
His eyes wander across the room, glancing at the clock before looking at his wristwatch. Yet another sigh has escaped his lips while tapping the glass of his watch. He looks around the room once more to scan, he even bothers leaving his office to glance at the window of the secretary room only to see everyone waiting in the hallway with a smile on their face, especially his one male coworker and his senior. As he returns to his seat, he takes another look at his watch once more, almost an hour has passed since the work time of the person assigned to him.
"First day and she's late."
A few minutes later, everyone in the law firm seems to gather in one spot, the reception area and Attorney Gong is unaware of anything about it at all despite the commotion happening in the firm. Everyone has a smile on their face, unable to contain the excitement knowing that a once famous celebrity is about to join their law firm. Their eyes are focused on the hallway, the automatic glass door, awaiting a figure that they anticipate.
With a loud ding from the elevator, everyone holds their breath as they witness the woman in front of their eyes. Breathtaking sight to see, as they all watch the person walk closer to their firm, with a slide of the glass door, Hyewon has finally taken her first step inside.

With a smile on her face, Hyewon greets everyone.
"Good morning everyone. I'm Kang Hyewon. I am looking forward to being with you guys. I have a lot to learn so please be patient with me."
Just a few words from her and some of them seem to be left in a trance already, fawning over her presence.
"Don't worry, with a goddess like you we'll always have patience." One has attempted to leave a flirtatious impression towards her in which she could only return with a chuckle. Hyewon eyes scans everyone in the room except the guy on her back, oblivious of the CDO, and founder of the law firm. Her eyes turned towards the guy who just spoke.
"You must be the CEO?"
Then, a person entered her peripheral vision, a man, maybe in his late forties, wearing a fabulous outfit, a coat over a black blazer, a necktie that definitely complemented his entire outfit, holding a bouquet of roses neatly and alluringly designed for the eyes.
"That will be me. Hello, Kang Hyewon, I am a fa-- I am Jeong Jaden, the CEO of this law firm, it's nice to finally meet you." He handed her the bouquet and Hyewon gladly took it from him. A short sniff of the bouquet, her nose is pleased by how good the roses smell.
"It's nice to meet you too Daepyonim. You shouldn't have bothered buying me this, but I'm very grateful for this. Thank you!" She responded, still with a smile on her face. "You are all very welcoming. I promise I'll be working hard to repay your kindness." A brief silence follows as she looks at everyone. "Can I ask what I am going to do?"
"Everyone, let's get back to work. Hyewon-ssi please follow me, I'll tell you your role from now on." Jaden speaks.
The commotion slowly died down as everyone walked back to their own post, and the office while Jaden was left alone with Hyewon. The two walk beside each other while Jaden discusses the work Hyewon will have and all throughout her time in the firm.
"I hope you're doing fine, Hyewon-ssi."
"I am, just a little nervous, that's all."
"I know that, it's your first time so I get that. Anyway, your work will be assigned by..." Jaden stops his tracks, Hyewon follows the man and also stops walking. In front of them is an office, an empty office. "the guy in this office. You'll be working under him. I'll be taking my leave, Hyewon-ssi. I still have things to settle. Have a great day ahead." And with that Jaden leaves Hyewon's side before she can even reply, she's alone and feeling a little nervous.
There's already a negative impression building in Hyewon's mind towards the person in this office, knowing that they didn't bother greeting her is telling something already. She twists the knob with a sigh and enters the office. A vacant table along with office equipment greets her, which seems to be vacant for quite a long time. Another sigh escapes Hyewon's lips as the room she's in directs her to another door. She walks towards the door and sees a person busily working on the documents scattered on his desk. A knock, Hyewon then pushes the door open and invites herself in after she hears him say "Come in."
"Hello, I'm Kang Hyewon. Jeong daepyonim told me that I'll be working under your care, Attorney Gong Yongwoo." Hyewon greeted only to meet his deadpan look.
