"You're late." Yongwoo glances at his watch and looks back at Hyewon. Awkward atmosphere right immediately, not even a minute in and she's already getting lectured. "Almost an hour late, isn't that a little great for your first day Kang Hyewon-ssi?" Hyewon is about to argue, her lips are already apart when she is stopped as he takes the chance to speak again. "And since you're working for me, I'll tell you my rules. Number one, I hate it when people don't respect time, so don't be late. Number two, working overtime. I hate it when people do their work overtime, it only means one thing, they aren't competitive enough to finish their work on time. Number three, you'll be working as my secretary."
"Secretary?"
"Yes, secretary. Since you do not have any experience in this field, and also you are long overdue in the media industry for a long time now, I suppose you decided to use your connections in order to work in a challenging field."
Hyewon is a little surprised by his intuition in her situation, his words left a little pang in her. As expected, her first impression of him didn't fail her.
"Okay, then what should I do?" Hyewon speaks with a gleam in her eyes, trying to show her determination in an attempt to overshadow her first impression of him.
"You know how to forward a call?"
"Yes, I talk through the phone most of the time so--"
"Great, that's your first job. Your place will be the office right outside mine." Hyewon's words are cut off even, which once again is a little disrespectful in her perspective.
Hyewon didn't speak anymore and just walked towards her office. She thoroughly glances at every corner of her office, greatly amazed at how it looks. She removes her fur coat and hangs it on her chair, revealing her glistening white skin. Another look at him for one last time before she settles down on her chair, feeling the soft cushion under her, a warm smile creeps up on her face. A thought then crosses her mind as she finally feels comfortable.
"He sure is cold. I guess my thought of him is right after all. You're the best Hyewon!"
Apart from looking around the room, Hyewon also checks everything in and on her table, the equipment, the note sticking on the monitor, the cabinet, and the drawers only to see files and documents on it. Finished familiarizing everything, she pulls the note on the monitor and reads its content.
"I hope you enjoy your time with Attorney Gong."
She grabs her pen and proceeds to write and add words to the paper.
"Yes, I'll make sure of that!♡"
A long while after, it has been minutes since she started working, for the first day of her work it sure is boring, there's nothing to do since no one has called for Yongwoo in the office. She may be seen slacking in her work hours since she looks too free, doing nothing that is related to her work as a secretary at all. As boredom keeps up with her, her eyes dart from left to right, checking Yongwoo's office and the outside before she decides to pull her phone out and use it to kill some time. Though doing it is definitely against the work, Hyewon can't really handle doing nothing.
It's been a short while since Hyewon has taken hold of her phone, she has scrolled through social media and it bores her even more, she even updated her manager and the CEO about her situation telling how she's going to work hard from now on. As she puts her phone down, once again, Hyewon has nothing to do, she feels guilty knowing that she has more free time than time she has worked. However it changed when the landline phone on her table rings, with haste she pulls the phone and answers it.
"Hello Secretary Kang, speaking..." The person on the other line speaks their business in which Hyewon nods her head upon understanding. "Okay, I'll put Attorney Gong on line, please hold on a second." She lays the phone down on the table and then walks to the door of his office.
