The setting is filled with crime scene tapes, separating the outside world in the scenario. The stench of the place wreaks havoc in Yongwoo's nose, a way to destroy his sense of smell even with a mask, the strong scent reeks in the very room where the murder was documented. Every step he is taking is gentle in order to avoid messing up the scene and creating unnecessary problems.
He fans his hand in front of his face, a sly attempt to keep the pungent scent away from him. Upon a single scan of the place, one can describe how much resistance has happened for this bloodbath of a room. The unbelievable amount of solidified blood paints every corner and wall of the room. Whoever did the action, they did not spare the victim at all and it is more like they enjoyed every second of committing the crime. He can feel his heart dropping as he keeps with his eyes searching around the room.
"What the hell is this? This isn't something a normal person can do."
The scene of his eyes witnesses is not something made up and not even the documentation of it can prepare him for this manslaughter. A cheese in the trap, in this moment he feels like a mouse directly walking in the trap. The place makes him live by how the situation broke out. No body at all but the traces left terrifies him.
His mind can't focus on his goal, failing to cooperate and proceed to do his objectives. He can feel his chest tightening at the sight, gradually hurting him the longer he stays inside the room.
It is pure silence, an eerie one, and the fact that Yongwoo can't remove the feeling of someone gazing over him causes him to feel more scared than he already is. No people are present in the scene for some time, he is alone. His instincts are getting a hold of him but he shall brush off the feeling for now as he still has to investigate the crime scene, however he can't let his guard down, not even for a split second.
He scans the room, searching for anything possible for the first trial that is to happen in the next two days, a way to save his client from getting imprisoned for a long time.
"How can such a person be brutal? Is it really your doing Chuisun?"
He checks the place thoroughly while still keeping everything intact for a further formal investigation to come. His effort for today has done nothing, not even a single ounce to save his client to his own doom which frustrates him every time it crosses his mind. He is certain, his client has nothing related to this crime, a complete innocence of a person that is framed into taking the real culprit's place.
Although he has spent some time finding for nothing, his determination to protect his client is something that allows him to continue despite the futile attempt. Unknowingly, being too immersed in his search for something to save his client made him vulnerable to any possible attack. His senses, especially his instincts, have died leaving him open for any sneak attack.
