Hyewon's eyes are focused on the sight on the passenger side window, enjoying the dim city lit under the road lights that lit the car every time they passed on one. She's too quiet, especially silent this time compared to the last few days which raises some concerns from her temporary manager, Minhyun. However he remains silent, not because he can't do anything for her but because he believes that she just needs some time for herself, a complete silence where she's the only one in her own world.
The silence of the ride has been kept maintained for almost all throughout it until an idea sparks up from Hyewon's mind, pulling her phone out of her bag to directly call someone from her contacts. Not even in the queue for more than a second and the person from the other line picks it up, she can't help but to feel a little surprised by how quick for them to answer the call.
"Woah! What are you doing now? How come you picked up the phone as soon as I called?!" A playful tone from her, a tone that she never has unless the person is close to her. Hearing this makes the guy driving beside her heave a sigh of relief.
"I am just enjoying my free time, why?" The feminine voice from the other end of the line bickered along with a background noise of an intense crunching and faint sound of television.
"Do you have time for a drink?"

A knock from the door disturbs the comfortable noise of the room, the person inside lazily stands up from their seat to answer the guest behind the door. Their hand gets in contact with the cold metal of the doorknob, slightly flinching from the newly found sensation before twisting the knob in one turn. With a push, the person behind the door reveals themselves holding a familiar beverage, raising it in the air before the owner of the house allows the visitor to set their foot inside their own property.
"Sorry for the intrusion." Hyewon removes her shoes swapping it with the slippers resting on the rack beside the doorway.
"I'm the only one here, the others are away for a few days." The owner of the house stated, making Hyewon look around the surroundings to confirm whether those words were indeed factual or a complete falsehood. "Make yourself comfortable." The person adds, plopping themselves on the soft couch a few meters away from the wall-mounted widescreen television.
"Why are you here then, Chaeyeonie?" Hyewon allows herself to get comfortable, gently placing the case of the beverage on the low table in front of the couch.
"It's my off, I just want to rest at home. And I already joined them, I just asked them if I was allowed to go home early." Chaeyeon said as she watched Hyewon take the first can out of the case. "Why did you bring a lot of cans? Are you trying to get drunk?" A concern arises from her voice, taking the can from Hyewon's hand for herself and consuming it which earns a hiss from the latter.
Hyewon takes another can from the case. "What if I want to? What's there to worry about?" She pops the tab of the can and drinks from it, a few gulp before halting the continuous consumption.
"Yah! You're a secretary of a law firm. Se...cre...ta...ry... You have a responsibility to attend to. Of course that is something to worry about."
"I know! I know!" Another gulp from the can, almost depleting all its content in a go.
"Why do you even want to drink in the first place? Why do you hate working?" Chaeyeon shifts on her seat, her posture is completely towards Hyewon who's sitting a few inches away from her. "Did that Mr. Gong put you in a lot of work again?!"
"No, it's not it. Just... because, okay? I just want to drink. Can I not?" She chugs down the last few volumes of the drink from the can, leaving it empty as she slams it down on the table, releasing a sigh that proves her satisfaction with the beverage.
