It's been more than a week since the incident, almost two weeks and Yongwoo has never spoken about it nor Hyewon trying to bring it up. She didn't forget about it, she remembers everything vividly and is very ashamed every time she recalls it.
The time they spent together in the office feels like they are just co-existing. Hyewon feels like her work is too underwhelming for a secretary, it's as if she's treated like a kid rather than a secretary, a high school student in elementary school. It is all just a basic thing for her, nothing that is actually like a full time secretary.
Currently it's her twelfth day at work, twelve days of the same process, photocopy, answer calls, give coffee to cheer Yongwoo, and notify him about the time. Nothing much to do in her perspective, it's underwhelming that it is starting to overwhelm her. Having too much free time is something she doesn't expect for a secretary working in a law firm and even in some forums that describe their corporate life as a secretary, for her it still sounds too far from her own experience.
"It's tiring." She stretches her arms out to ease the tension she's feeling, however she stops quickly when her eyes land on the guy on his table that is looking at her. She can't let him see that she's lounging around, as a perfect secretary, she must be reliable and not lazing around although it's a bit late as he already saw her stretching her arms out.
Not even a second after, she saw him standing up from his seat making her panic in her place, afraid that he might judge her once again. She quickly composes herself until Yongwoo leaves his room.
"Can you make ten copies of this?" He didn't wait for any response from her and proceeded to place the pile of documents on her table before going back inside his office.
A simple task for Hyewon, she may even be a master of it considering the amount of times she has repeated the same actions.
"Yes." She muttered a response with a little sass in her voice but he's already nowhere in her office.
She picks the documents up from her table and directly heads to her business, the printing machine. In front of the machine, she stands there with a hand on her waist, her shoes tapping the tiles. She sighs after realizing how boring her work is, she can't bring herself to complain after all this is the work that is assigned to her.
"Is everything okay, Hyewon-ssi?" Secretary Yang asks as she approaches the same machine. Quickly, Hyewon looks at her with a surprised expression. "It's just that you are sighing."
"Ahhh... It's nothing at all."
"Is the work hard? We all know he tends to make things hard but it is how things are in his office, after all he's the most known Attorney here in this firm." Hyewon's eyes turn a little, surprised by the information she just dropped. "Do you not know?" Hyewon just nods. "I thought it was already obvious."
"It kinda is." She looks in the direction of his office then back to the person she's with. "The others seem to be like that as well."
"Well, technically yes but everyone here agrees that Yongwoo is the ace of this firm. Anyway, how's the thing between the two of you?"
"We're fine, I guess." Hyewon tries to laugh it off but Secretary Yang senses something in her attempt.
"You guys are still not on good terms?" She asks only for Hyewon to hesitatingly nod. Yooah sighs after getting a grasp of Hyewon's situation. "Has he not apologized? I mean, it's kind of his fault why you were hurt that night."
Hyewon cutely shakes her head. "No, I don't think he will. What is there to hold onto that matter anyway?" The machine has finally stopped producing the photocopied documents. "I'll get going, Secretary Yang."
