"Come on honey, you don't want to be late for your first day" Mr. Wilson said
"I'm sure there will be at least three more first days this year, maybe even this month" Kelly rolled her eyes at her dad.
She sat at her kitchen table, eating her cereal as slow as possible. She dreaded having to go to another new school, and having to try to awkwardly fit in again.
"Don't be like that, I promise this is the last time we're moving"
"And this is the town you chose? You couldn't move us to an exciting city or something" Kelly complained
"Cities are dangerous, Woodsboro is a perfectly safe and respectable place to raise you and your brother"
"Mom lives in the city" Kelly mumbled under her breath
"Yeah well, does it look like she's trying to be a parent? Be grateful I didn't leave you and your brother on the side of the road after the divorce" Her father snapped back
"Yeah, Kelly bean, be grateful" Zachary, Kelly's twin brother, sarcastically remarked as he came down the stairs
"Dad, tell him to stop calling me that!" Kelly groaned
"Oh now all of a sudden I'm your dad" Mr. Wilson jokingly scoffed
"Ha!" Zachary stuck his tongue out at his twin sister
"Dad!" Kelly complained
"Sorry honey, I'm late for work" Mr. Wilson checked his watch and quickly left the house.
"Whatever, I'm going to school" Kelly stood up and crossed her arms
"Hey doofus, how ya gonna get there?" Zachary dangled their car keys in front of her face.
"Give me those, we already agreed I would drive" Kelly held her hand out
"No, you agreed and-"
"Zack!" Kelly shot out her arm to try and reach out for the keys
"Keep better track of them" Zachary fake pouted.
He ran outside to their shared car and Kelly chased behind, screaming his name. ——————————————————————————- School went just as horrendous as Kelly expected it to go, that was until fourth period. That was where Kelly met a sweet girl named Sidney Prescott. They had similar interests and hit it off pretty quickly, Sidney even invited Kelly to sit with her and her friends for lunch.
