Sidney's House

"Thanks for taking her with you, Sid. I don't think she should be alone right now" Zack said

"No problem, I don't think any of us should" Sidney nervously nodded.

When the gang left the video store, Zack asked Sidney if Kelly could stay at her place until he got off of work. Tatum overheard and decided to make it a girls night.

When Kelly and Sidney left to her house, Tatum stayed behind to say goodbye to Stu. She told them she would meet up with them later.

The girls sat in Sidney's room watching tv. Sidney was zoning out and staring out the window.

"Hey, you okay?" Kelly asked

"Uh-huh, it's just you know, the police, the reporters,...it brings it all back" Sidney dazedly replied, her mother's death anniversary was approaching quickly.

"I'm so sorry, Sid." Kelly scooted closer to Sidney and put an arm around her.

Then the phone rang.

"It's Tatum" Kelly said answering the phone

"Heyyy so uh I got a little hung up at Stu's place, but I should be there around seven" Tatum said from the other side.

"Uh huh sure" Kelly laughed

"I will, I promise" Tatum laughed back

"Alright whatever, see ya" Kelly smiled

"Later" Tatum hung up

The girls continued to flip through channels but every one seemed to be talking about the murders.

"The entire nation was shocked today by the teen murders..."

Sidney hit the remote.

"The State Bureau of Investigation has joined forces with local authorities to help catch what the Governor has called the most heinous..."

Kelly switched the channel this time. Gale Weathers appeared on the screen. She was standing in front of the school, her teeth were gleaming.

"This is not the first time the small town of Woodsboro has endured such tragedy. Only a year ago, Maureen Prescott, wife and mother, was found raped and murdered..."

Kelly reached for the remote but Sidney stopped her. She stared at the tv, a black and white photograph appeared on the screen.

Sidney looked over her side table where the same black and white photograph was framed. Sidney sighed and shut off the tv.

The girls ended up falling asleep, but Sidney was awoken by a phone call.

"Sorry I'm running late, but I'm on my way now" Tatum said on the other side

"It's past seven" Sidney eyed her clock, it read 7:15

"Don't worry. Casey and Steve didn't bite it til way after 10" Tatum joked

"I'm not worried" Sidney said, she glanced over at Kelly who was still asleep.
